Only negative from today is that both Byrne and Shepherd are 1 yellow card away from a ban with 7 matches left until the cut off. Assuming both can't avoid getting another yellow card in the next 7 games we've got to hope that they both don't get their 5th in the same game or we could be in real trouble

Love this clip without the commentary.

Can clearly hear someone saying "hit it" and then he did!

Said this after the game. Some may say he was too fussy. I just thought he applied the letter to the law, same for both sides. Good to see a ref yellow card for time wasting early on in a game instead of the 89th minute!

Can't really argue with most of the yellows.

Don't want to bash Wright but I don't get what he brings to the side. Awful on defensive duties and rarely gets past his man to deliver a decent cross. Richards any day for me.

What a great afternoon for football. Sun shining. Two teams from L2 entertaining the crowd. Some dark arts clamped down on. Wonder strike to win 3 points. For once, starting to see a blueprint of how GA wants us to play. Enjoyable!

I think GAs blueprint is the most obvious one since the Parky days

Dodged a bullet with Williams- fancy bringing on your number 10 when chasing a game for him to sit in front of the back four! Jake Reeves 2.0, he’d have drove me to be as bald as him after a season watching that

Just need Oduor to get on the scoresheet to give him the confidence to step up. Technically a very good player that struggles with his end result. His mazy run in the second half would have been goal of the season for us so far if it nestled in!

Richard’s will most likely start Tuesday then it’s his shirt to keep. Did very well today. I can’t believe Wright is being bashed on here for the crime of getting injured though!

I have no idea what that game plan was for the last 20 minutes from Gillingham. Almost like they were playing for a point but forgot they were behind.

Very good win and a solid performance to boot, if Kav doesn’t have a brain fart I don’t think they’d have scored and it would have been a more comfortable win. Can’t rely on worldies and scoring from a couple of chances every week, so it was good to create other chances to put the game to bed. Feel like we’ve been the better team and deserved the last three wins, the first three I was far less convinced about. If it wasn’t for a blind lino against Salford we’d be second now.

They are doing something in the Premier league 2 games that could stop a hell of a lot of time wasting at this level.

The keeper has 8 seconds to kick it out if not it results in a corner to the oppo team

Most enjoyable game of the season so far for me. The weather might have played it's part because it was an absolutely cracking day to watch a game of football, but the best thing about it for me was I felt a confidence in the team that I haven't felt in a long, long time. Even after Kav's moment of madness due to his desperation to score and then Gills taking the lead, I never had that 'here we go again' feeling that has become oh so familiar over the past few seasons. Something just felt different, like every player was on the same wavelength (apart from Wright, who was apparently still recovering from the sickness bug and if so, should never have been on the pitch in the first place). I'm not going to get carried away because it's taken until the 12th game of the season for me to feel that level of confidence in the players and to come away feeling we won the game convincingly, but it's a good feeling to have and I'm going to enjoy it. Until Tuesday night at least.

They've already tried that rule with 6 seconds and a free kick awarded. Lke all new rules of this nature, it lasted about 6 games and then the referees stop doing their jobs and everyone forgets about it.

But they have tried 6 seconds before! Absolutely useless if the ref didn’t know how to count beyond 4 . They never imposed it.

    Take another timewasting ruse away?

They take a goal kick from the side of the dead ball line it went over, not ANY side. That’s the biggest timewasting permission for any keeper on the planet.

Another ….flopping on the ball like a crab after making a simple catch. Pickford started that off years ago , and I now detest him , and he’s a joke waiting to happen , just because of that.

    I know I’m an old traditionalist , but ……Really?

Good to see City fans in the Bradford end celebrating goals too.
