I'm subscribed to Callum Fowler. He's a barnsley fan but covers Champ and League 1 in an amusing fashion.
He's embarrassingly biased in Barnsley's favour in every prediction but he gives us some reet props in his latest League 1 review.

That's what it looked like. On chances, we should have won it but don't begrudge Barnsley their draw. Best game at VP for years. 2 good teams playing to win and I don't think either team deserved to lose. What about the crowd? Atmosphere seemed a little better than playing the likes of Accrington.

We could have been well out of sight before HT ........2nd half had that chance from Humphries/ Kav gone in i think we would havr gone on to win easily.......once the drew level they had a spell where they may have got a 3rd and come the end we spurned some good chances ............saying that YET again we have seen yet another entertaing game at VP this season ( has there been a bad one ) compared to this time last season when it waa a case of turning up hoping for the best.
Honestly start of the season would have been happy at 19th and just holding our own so whats going on at the moment is beyond my expectations just proves that with the right recruitment you dont have to throw big money at it like a fair few at this level have.
Still be interesting come January what happens should we still be hovering at the top ...........does Rupp have a go at it knowing that if it come off the club will be worth a lot more than he paid for it and he knows now that we have a few gems in there that are worth a decent amount of money anyhow.
Gonna be interesting and exciement few months coming up for us .......

 

Before the start of the season, a lot of supporters of other clubs had us as fighting relegation, now a lot are saying it's promotion bounce and we can't keep it up. However, we have had our usual amount of injuries and our squad players simply pick up the chalice. We must have a bit of a war chest for January so we will see what happens. Certainly our recruitment strategy is good and I wouldn't be surprised if the team already know who they want and who they would like to move on. We have already made some good signings and whereas Neuf is the stand out at the moment, I do think in the long run, the best signing will turn out to be Metcalfe.

 

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but did anyone else notice that on two occasions flags were thrown from the Kop towards their players when they were taking corners? It looked like the flags they leave on seats pre-match.

The club need to get on top of that asap. The idiot(s) need lifetime bans. The club and supporters group have worked so hard to create a better matchday atmosphere. If the flag throwing is noticed by the FA/Police/etc we won't be allowed them anymore. This is why we can't have nice things.

Not sure if mentioned earlier but the Bradford Council revenue team were dishing out parking tickets like confetti on midland road. When did they add no waiting during match days?

 

It's a happy hunting ground for them, easy money.
I saw a guy leaving his BMW near the entrance to the tip near a dropped kerb, sure enough he a had a present on his windscreen as I passed going home.
Nothing to do with road safety just a cash cow for the council.

 

What do the road markings or signs indicate along midland road or more appropriately the areas where the tickets were dished out?

 

No stopping, and no parking. I’ve warned a few when possible.
