Ex footballers don’t always have a clue, which is why it’s acceptable to question a manager as they aren’t the fountain of all knowledge when it comes to football. They had a couple of dangerous counters on the break, which they did nothing with. But they had no structure to their play and just sat deep and time wasted. A clueless comment, but not surprising he often seemed like he’d been hit over the head with a shovel with his intelligence.

You wonder if we sometimes underestimate the impact this guy has, amongst all the discussion of our favoured defensive lineups. Having a consistent voice behind whoever lines up across the 3-5 has got to stand for something. Add to that Power in front of them, feels like as a unit it is working well so far.

 

We've admitted that we were not at our best. However if the table was the other way around, I'd be very disappointed sitting back when top of the league against a bottom side, and creating very few chances. Blackpool were highly fancied to be one of the top sides this year and have spent a fair bit.

 

All the fancied sides we have played, Wycombe, Luton, Stockport, Huddersfield, Cardiff, Blackpool, we have beaten, we have Bolton to play but they're not pulling up any trees, Plymouth seem to be on a revival and could be turning things around.
Of the other promoted sides, we lost to Donny, managed to turn around the Wimbledon game but Port Vale are on a surge. Sides like Mansfield and Northampton who were fancied to be strugglers are winning games. It's only Burton, Exeter and Rovrum who look like relegation fodder(I think Blackpool will turn things around). Top of the league are supposed mid-tablers Bradford and Lincoln with predicted strugglers Stevenage flying. Yes, we all have another 36 games to go but all in all predictions are way off despite some having massive budgets and some not spending much at all. It's gonna be a fun ride.
