I agree on Adam and Bobby starting, which will still leave us with plenty of pace and goal threat on the bench with Powell, Swan and Jackson. Hopefully it won't be long before Tyreik is back in contention also.

 

I dont think 2-0 is ever in the bag tbh. And tbh we are 2 games into the season so running him into the ground at this stage isnt really an issue!

I don't believe you regarding Swan, no one can be such a fan of a player with that ability to the point that they don't talk about anyone else unless it is direct competition for his place. But you are right on your overall point. Fans are fickle; Jackson scores on Thursday, and people will be wetting themselves. It's a squad game, and everyone will have their part to play, but I think the front 3 long term (unless there are injuries) will be Pointon and Phillips in behind Beesley.

 

Yet the man at the helm doesn't agree bud and I go on his judgement or maybe its simply a case of getting all the players up to full matchness as soon as possible.............

 

I think he might have substituted Sarcevic if Connolly hadn’t got a knock in the face which led to substitution

 

Sarc needs to play 90 mins. He was never coming off at 2-0. And whats the point in doing so in injury time. To save his legs from 5 mins of football? We are 2 games in!!

 

Early season, 2 games in, playing once a week, he should be fine. If he can not handle that, like Powell, he should be restricted to coming off the bench. I'll get it more once we are playing Saturday, Tuesday.

 

But we could leave him on and still blow a 2 goal lead! We obviously have differing opinions and you rightly say GA makes the decisions.

 

I believe possibly the same as last season back up, he's had a good pre-season goal wise but as we know this is the business end.

 

I thought that might have been the case. But no. GA said in his post match interview that he was concerned that Connolly was getting left isolated so he was planning to replace him with the fresh legs of Cartwright and withdraw Sarce a bit deeper. It was a planned tactical switch but the injury to Connolly made it look reactive. He never intended to take Sarce off.

 

Its a good job we kept him on for 96 minutes against Fleetwood!

If hes fit enough to do full match, see no problem. Its not like we are playing Tuesday this week.

To be fair i don't think people are writing Jackson off theyre just commenting on his performance on saturday which in my opinion was a very poor one,he'll be back friday with a point to prove
