Summer 26 Transfer Rumours

I get the opposite feeling, but time will tell..

 

Apparently a few clubs were interested in McCracken, including Celtic, who wanted him as a backup keeper.

I’d imagine first team football was a major factor in his decision to come here and I’d be surprised if he hadn’t been given some indication he’d have a genuine chance of being the number one.

 

QPR and Wednesday have both been linked to McCraken publicly and Celtic rumoured to have shown interest (albeit as backup). He was in the Scotland squad under two years ago at 23/24 years old as a keeper.

He's not coming here to sit on the bench. He might not start the season as #1, but he'll definitely end it as #1.

 

Agree, someone with international ambitions isn't coming to sit on the bench of a league one club. But, as GA says, he needs to perform well first and foremost.

 

Looks like Millwall are signing up the better young players from L1 for their next promotion charge. Adding to Metcalfe, they are in talks with Barnsley over Reyes Cleary. At least Walker wont be beaten from range once again against them next season!

Barnsley seem a bit doomed? They are moving on everyone who either is worth money or cant play in a 442. Brought nobody in yet either from the looks of things and one or two others seem to be in talks to leave.

 

Yep, their fans are miserable. I was wondering if someone would come in for Cleary.

 

Unfortunately for Scotland that’s exactly what their players do. Gunn has struggled to even make the bench this season and Gordon is about 43.

I think the bigger clubs who showed a bit of interest were probably lining him up for their number 2 keeper slot.

He may well start here as our number 2, but probably has a better chance here of eventually being our number 1.

Thats the way I see it.

 

Clubs were sniffing in Jan window……Honestly BB, I didn’t rate him in the few cameos I’ve seen. Wondergoal at VP was a freak , but extremely well taken.
