He doesn't mention his time with us at all, despite the fact we're the club he played for most and was also captain. I find that strange. Wasn't he some sort of Asian ambassador too?

Edit: Wiki tells me about this:

In May 2010, he launched The Zesh Rehman Foundation at Valley Parade to encourage children from all backgrounds to participate in football and sport to better themselves.[99] He was named as one of the 50 World Cup Bid Ambassadors for The FA's World Cup 2018 bid, entered the Show Racism Red Card Hall of Fame,[100] and was invited onto the PFA management committee by Gordon Taylor.[101]

Good luck to him in his role.

One of the worst footballers I've ever seen wear the Claret and Amber.

A very damning statistic indeed and to McCalls detriment that he actually captained him.

I also remember him being hooked at half time in one game. Can you imagine having to hook your captain for being horrendous at half time? I bet there's only a handful of times that will have happened in footballs entire history.

Not really. I'm sure it was all politics coming from the boardroom.

Quite possibly a good role for him, average player but intelligent. He was at our game at Swindon pre Covid and I walked back to the station with him after. Certainly got his head screwed on the right way, wish him well even though it perhaps didn't work as both sides would have hoped at VP.
