I'm absolutely certain the agent was more p1ssed off about the financial package he'd have recieved rather than where Zeli ended up.

Imagine in 2004 telling a young kid he's more chance of breaking into the megabucks Chelsea team (eventual premier league winners) than the Wolves team that ended up relegated.

 

Good piece, there is little doubt he has talent, when he's fully match fit I'm sure he will give opposition full backs nightmares.

 

Great talent no doubt about it. Obviously consistency and fitness has been a major problem which probably explains why he's at this level. Will be more than an asset for us. Looks like he'll create something or score every time he picks the ball up.

 

As an aside, I watched the Bolton game on ifollow and it was local commentators (presumably they also did bury games) who were absolutely scathing of Ismael. Time and time again they referred to an almost comical image of Zeli beating a man and then crossing either into the stand or tripping over the ball when clear.

They weren't worried at all about facing him and in fact, suggested they were almost glad he was playing.

 

Good read that. Lets hope he can stay fit, and that Bowyer can get a consistent tune out of him. Its obvious, from the limited time he has played for us so far, that he is talented beyond league 2 status.

Lets hope he settles here, and is a good fit here. The fans will worship him if so

 

Some managers dont play kids or their style of play wont suit them. doesn't take much for a career to stall

 

Not sure about 100 Mill but he is clearly a very talented lad. He's looked dangerous every time he's played and is actually showing what I expected from Scannell tbh.

Difficult to know without knowing him but strikes me as a bit of a Mark Marshall type in that he needs managing a certain way to get the best out of him. So far though, for me at least, he's looked a cut above any other winger I've seen us come up against yet.

 

He’s shown in 2 games how much better he is than Scannell and Mark Marshall.

 

Only one way to kick on is to get his head down and work hard, get regular football, keep his fitness and work with a manager who will manage him correctly to get the best out of him. Sounds from the article if it’s true, that’s what’s been missing from his career so far.

Bowyer showing examples of good man management across the squad to date. Let’s hope he has the same impact with Ismail and we as a club are the beneficiary of this supposed super talent.

You sure? He virtually carried us all season in an attacking sense to the doorstep of the Championship. He was the best winger in League 1 that season. Until I see that consistency from Ismail in the league above I'd be a bit reserved to say he's better. Scannell definitely but Marshall was a class act for us.

 

Better than Marshall lol. He's played alright against some dross league 2 opposition. Until he turns it on virtually every other week in league 1 then comments like better than Marshall will get the piss taking they deserve.
