    4 lads given one year pro deals. Hopefully while we are in this khazi league we continue this going forward. We might get lucky with a couple and they Work out. Better than signing a load of crap loans from other clubs youth.

    Don’t know much about any of them but didn’t we have one lad in youth who was banging in goals from midfield?

    Scales is the goal scoring midfield player.

    Sikora made his first team debut against Man City u23 in the leasing.com trophy last season

    Shanks came on as a sub in the friendly against Liverpool last season

    Good luck to all 4 of the youngsters. Be great to see them emerge as first teamers in the future

    I thought that at least one of these lads would be a CM, but apparently not. Now means though, that we will need to sign 3 more CMs, probably one being Watt.

    Good to see the youth team producing we haven’t had many in recent years who have been deemed good enough to step up let’s hope that at least some of them can make the grade

    Let's hope they get the support of the fans. We need to be realistic and allow them to develop. We mustn't be on their backs at every mistake they make

    Shanks and Scales are midfield players. Scales sounds like an attacking midfielder with a good goalscoring record for the youth team

    Yes, I think Scales is in the number 10 mould and I thought Shanks was a striker but maybe not. Either way, they do nothing for that big gaping hole in midfield. That's why I thought Elliot Goldthorpe would be one of the deals but apparently he's been released.

    I'd like to think this is a sign of success at the academy level, a long overdue influx of talent from the youth ranks ready for a proper shot at a pro career. Not a half arsed, do it on the cheap approach from a club with no clear plan or ambition.

    Let's see.
