Wimbledon tickets

I admire the dedication to watch city lose away. I struggle to muster the enthusiasm to turn on ifollow (from my holiday home in europe, obviously ;-)) each week

 

Isn't this a contradiction of terms? Surely the aim of gaining more points is to be able to attend more City matches? Am I missing something?

 

You would think so - however many fans, not just City fans but football fans in general, just absolutely love to brag about how loyal a fan they are. How many games they've been to, how few a game they've missed over the course of a season(s). It's a little embarrassing when you see people behaving that way as it's something most people stop doing once they surpass the age of 15 or 16, generally, but each to their own, if that what makes someone happy.

 

I'll tell you what is massive the actual match tickets.
Picked a couple up yesterday and in the envelope were two pieces of A4 paper printed match tickets.
Barcode reader admission by the looks of the ticket.

 

We really do have good away support this season .

 

That's not necessarily true. We've got more points at home (20) than we have away (19) this season, contrary to popular belief. (We've lost our last few consecutive away matches don't forget).

We've also lost 4 away from home, and only lost 3 at home.

It's a bit of a myth this away form better than the home form chatter.

 

Aren't tickets £25 each + £3 booking fee for a game that will cost £50 in travel straight after Christmas?
I'm pretty sure that plays a part.

With it being a new ground for that will always add a few 100 extra. Wouldn't be surprised if quite a few people booked trains/coaches before knowing the prices tickets would be.
Still a good following though.

Point is, the OP was incorrect with his assertion that we're seemingly much better away.

 

1.54 points per match at home and 1.73 points per match away. We are currently 12% better away from home.

 

I've done my bit this season already and after Tuesday they can get ****ed if they think I'm wasting another full tank of petrol and a whole day to watch some of them just going through the motions.

 

Corned Beef Slab Pie for me at the mother in laws. Far better than a trip to Merton
