Will Stefan Rupp Appear?

If Parky had still be there who knows where we would be as a club, but even accepting your comment with regards the Rhodes & Lawn (I get a strange feeling neither are on your Christmas card list) and requiring a Cup run to sustain the club those 4/5 seasons were something else, IMO, and after watching that video both Parkin & Parkinson said they were special times a Valley Parade they gave us our identity back, and something as fans we could look forward to believe in.

 

I think that's a bit harsh. As you say, but for this week, the club has done a great job with filling out the stadium, excellent promotional videos, more sponsorship than before etc, etc. I'm not sure who was responsible for the brain fart this week, but you can only hope they've learned from it, as they have on previous occasions.

 

I'd imagine the cost to sustain a championship club has doubled if not tripled since we were on the verge of being there. Just looking at Rupps speculated wealth of £100m, I don't think he'd be willing to throw the kind of money needed just to survive. If we make it back to league one, I wouldn't be surprised if he sold up and rode off into the sunset at the first opportunity.

 

Feel for RS in a strange way, Rupp ain’t putting any money in so we have to sell sell sell - whether that be points schemes, tours, membership- it almost feels desperate at times.

All that off field work and record crowds and budget wise we still can not compete with the Stockport , Salford etc. I honestly will be over the moon when Rupp goes the club has so much potential.
Shame no one can see it or maybe they’re priced out of seeing.

 

Surely, someone sat there with the money, see's 22500 against LO and thinks 'what crowds could these be getting in the Championship?'

Still think Darragh will buy us in the next 2/3 years. Just wants to get his kids through schooling in the US first.

 

He’s certainly made mistakes this week and this latest Spain trip seems like one of Boris Johnson’s deals to help his mates. As regards tickets that seems to be an ongoing problem with both Baldwin and Mason getting tickets for big games badly wrong.

 

They were great times Dave and I will give Rhodes and Lawn credit for taking a gamble to extend the budget but they had five years with little prospect of promotion and indeed 2 serious relegation battles. They depended so much on Parkinson giving us a cup run and quickly panicked when we didn’t get one in 2013/14 . Selling Wells too cheaply, not allowing Parkinson to sign Williams the goalkeeper or Morais for anything longer than a month at a time until we got Chelsea in the cup. Rupp and Sparks get stick on here but despite a first round cup defeat to Harrogate there was no mention of them stoppIng Hughes adding to the squad in January. I think the club is back on its feet after the Rahic disaster and good times are getting closer.

 

Your correct the only thing I can say is it took Stephan far too long to get involved, and fortunately he agreed to two City fans to visit Munich tell him what was really going on behind his back.
Our recent past should never have happened, I accept the first season when Stuart return it would have been very easy for Rahic to tell Stephan "this is only the start" and possibly telling him it had more to do with Rahic's rather than Stuart, but we are where we are and in with a good chance of taking our first steps back on the ladder to league one.

 

2 fans when over and said get rid of your partner, take full control of the club and just go back to sleep as you do. Don’t invest, improve us, let the mug fans buy everything and we will protect you from any flack. We will blame it all on the managers. In fact our support base is a bit thick and we will blame everything on Bradford’s economy like the council do but it’s bollocks.

A club with real fans would be demanding he quit and sold up now.

 

A bit like Manchester United do you mean, thats gone well over the last 10 or so years, some still sat at old trafford with their Green & Yellow scarves on, some should tell them the Glaziers wont sell until the money is right, I'd think that might be the case with Rupp.
