Why You Should Care That Grayson Has Gone

Grayson has gone.

Everyone should care.

Grayson's four month tenure at City represents many things, not least our absolute and total lack of direction.

Some say it's fine, the football under Grayson was poor, and the results weren't good enough. That's true, but that doesn't make it fine.

For 18 months, Stuart had us in or around the play offs. We played a particular brand of football that favoured possession and freedom. It worked for the most part, and ALL our signings were brought in to play this particular style.

Now, we've just spent four months with a different coach completely undoing and untraining that style, favouring organisation ahead of freedom, and focusing on defensive duties and the basics.

Why would we do that, if that then wasn't our long term aim?

If we hire some possession based manager again, what the hell was the last four months? An attempt to get worse at that style of football?

I can only assume we wish to be direct in the near future, or Grayson represents an absolutely insane endeavour on behalf of our club.

What are we actually trying to do?

Extremely worrying, and simply being glad Grayson is gone does not cut it.
