Well here comes the pivotal week for many many of years

I think McCartan could be a very good player however like quite a few others in the past he doesn’t have a position that fits he is not really an out and out striker nor is he a conventional number 10. I did like his cameo on the right wing in the last match. However he apart from Wyke is probably our most moveable forward so he might go to free up another forward signing

 

My prediction - Doyle will be off. Regardless of whether we rate him or not, whether some think he can play in the Championship or not one fact is he's getting more squad/match time for the Republic these days. He's also out of contract so he's a free agent. That puts him in massive control. He'll get offers from the Championship and League one. It'll be up to him to decide what's best for him. He's at that age where he's looking for a good contract so let's not kid ourselves he'll definitely sign. He'll do what's best for him and that will be a balance between length of contract, size of wages and the potential of the club.to win stuff.

It also says in the T&A today that if the Dennis deal had gone through in January, McCarten would have been loaned out.

I've only been up an hour or so give me chance to read the local rag, but that comnent is irrelavent as we didn't sign Dennis.

Not going to try and compete with SYB's insider knowledge but a friend at the club did tell me there could be another interesting signing after Riley by the end of the week but wasnt sure if the coach appointment would be within same timeframe - so bacisally in the words of Manuel (Fawlty T) "i know nothing"!

 

If that is the case I'm wrong I thought Greg had said we had bids in for McCartan.

 

Makes about as much sense as him, that logic. Lets face it. In the rush to post the first 'ITK stuff' on here, he cocked up his user name. Amateurish at best.

 

If as you say "The Futures Looks Bright,And Everything Looks So Good",then surely it would be in the clubs interest to get a move on with the appointments of coach and players. Then maybe some who havn't renewed possibly will do so.
