    And here is why
Hopkin I am really impressed with him and the way the injury ravaged Squad have responded to him.
Defence has tightened up no end and will help us pick points up here and there.
Players returning Players will be coming back and if Hopkins can get the same tune out of them as he has with the players he has had to work with that will be a big help.
January will be the time Hopkin can bring the players he wants to fit how we play.
We will be comfortably midtable by May and hopefully a successful future with none of the absolutely idiotic goings on last summer with regard manager fitness or lack of it
And the bloody shambles that was pre season.

Although I agree with the hopkin factor I think we will just survive nothing more but is Rahic leaving so we don't have a similar pre season in the summer

I'm sure Hopkin knows what he needs - getting it in January won't be easy though.

Clubs don't want to sell, prices are higher, contracts are in full, players are less inclined to move in some cases, we have a massive squad, and there's questions about our budget and/or what we have left.

The most difficult thing is addressing the absolute lack of balance up front. Strikers aren't cheap ever, January will see them at a premium.

The only thing that is certain, we HAVE to spend.

They're going to have to find it from somewhere unless they want relegation.

We don’t have a choice, it will be expensive eye watering. Remember this one Edin buy cheap buy twice! If we get relegated very very expensive in either event selling the club or buying players to secure your investment. Take your pick.

The pot is empty, we need to sell before we can buy and we have nobody worth any money to sell.

Yeah but it's alright cos Park said so. The fact we are in the bottom 3 seems to have escaped him somewhat.

    Perhaps.
For Raich and Rupp to really invest in January - City will need a top ten placing. I really don't see either happening. :(

You think rupp and rahic want to invest more money in January?

Maybe if City are bottom four, otherwise Hopkin gets to send loanees back, bring his own jocks in and has a good rummage in the bargain basement bin.

In some ways it might suit City fans to see us still struggling come Jan and the men with the money DO panic.
Wont be pretty to watch but will give Hopkin a chance to get a few real difference makers.

Plus Hopkin is just on a two year deal and if not backed that much (backroom as well)then can just see out next season and go elsewhere.

Sadly I think this season is a write off (as most people already know). I don’t think we’ll be relegated but think mid table is the best we can expect even with January reinforcements.

The only silver lining is that hopefully next season is far better if we keep Hopkin and the owners listen to his ideas/follow his lead with regards to transfers, pre season etc. A shame to write a season off by October but that’s just the way it goes sometimes.

And there is the problem that everyone bar the powers that be saw coming
Young lads a plenty brought to the club in the hope that our excellent "management structure"
could turn out the next Barcelona for very little cost has failed miserably we have a team full of players without value or prospect of covering our loses or even promotion to boost finances.
Our last asset went north to Sunderland
What now the brick wall has been reached no players no assets and not a lot of hope for investment in the near future
    I only hope we have a plan B !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love your optimism, Park and would obviously love you to be proved right but for me I see a season of total struggle where our only hope is for there to be 4 teams worse than us!!
Yes we have seen a change in attitude and comitment under DH but surely that should be an absolute given?! Zero goal threat and a less than convincing back line spells relegation fight in my book.
I also have zero confidence in the owners to suitably back DH in Jan so see no change any time soon. Really hope I'm wrong...

I said at the time several times, selling Wyke was absolutely stupid, but people wanted to cash in and let Rahic play footie manager.

Here we are 12 games in, 1 goal from a striker from open play is it? 2 maybe?

Wyke would have kept us up no doubt.

Both Doyle and Wyke are prolific in front of goal and like most goalscorers at this level, both are heavily reliant on service. As we aren't providing it, what makes you think we would have faired better with Wyke in the team? Give him service and he'll score a bucketload. Give him scraps to feed off and he becomes redundant.
