Heard the line several times tonight that we can’t afford to sack Adams so we’ll have to keep him.

    I don’t agree.

For every 1,000 adult ST holders (paying on average £250) that don’t renew next season because of Adams that is £250,000 in lost revenue.

We could easily lose 2-3k adults - look around the forums and social media. Everyone wants the bore gone.

Yes he got a three year deal but are we really paying him THAT much that sacking him isn’t an option to consider?

The only way we can get fans onside before the next ticketing campaign is to fire Adams.

Forget his self preservation threats to ‘immature’ Sparks on the radio tonight.

Every week he remains in charge we sink further from the playoffs and lose more fans.

He’s lost the players in September when he questioned their integrity and said they weren’t winners.

We need to get rid now before the s**t really hits the fan in the summer.

How many adult ST’s can you see us losing next year if Adams remains in charge?

The issue is who could we attract to replace him. We are becoming a toxic club for managers so their pay requests will be increasing or we will be looking from lower which is t going to attract ticket sales

Why are you quoting £250 as the current adult price is £198 plus postage.

Are you saying that the tickets HAVE to increase by £50 again?

That’s the trouble look at the managers linked when Adams was appointed one relegated his team out the league and two others are sacked already.
The magic roundabout of failed managers continues turning

I thought they were £249 this year? I genuinely can’t remember. I just paid it and that was that.

It doesn’t matter, it’s just an example for illustrative purposes here. Even if they are £200 and we lose 2500 adults (a conservative estimate IMO…..people are that fed up) thats half a million in lost revenue - i.e. a hell of a lot.

Despite Adams’ threats I think there will always be people interested. We don’t need a traditional old school manager anyway IMO, sometimes it can pay to think outside the box.

I’d love Jones but he’s a social worker apparently. I like Morais. Speaks sense, gets the club. Dunno if he’s got his badges. But We aren’t going down so the next boss can experiment a bit.

Flynn is prob too big for us now but he’d be another I’d love.

The lad at Halifax Pete Wild, that's the type i would be looking at, young modern thinking.

Time to think outside the box.

I know we tried Trueman and Sellars before but all due respect they were nobodies and ultimately they were found out. But there are players who will earn respect of the dressing room, like Gerrard did at Rangers, like Rooney has done at Derby and like Jewell and Kamara did for us in the nineties.

Why the obsession with Flynn on here? Had fallings out at Newport and played some pretty garbage football at times. If we’re going to make a change I’d rather a more modern style of play and actually stick to it and recruit accordingly, we won’t though. I don’t know much about Wilds style of play, but he’s doing a good job at Halifax.

As Stork says though it’s quickly become a managers graveyard as well as a strikers, it’s a difficult job make no bones about it.

He was doing best he could with the limited resources he had at Newport IMO. Regularly got them in playoffs. Few big cup nights along the way too. Whats not to say he couldn’t adapt his approach if given better players at a bigger club?

I’d rather give it to a Morais type manager until the end of the season though and see how they fare.

Warming more and more to Big Fil. Talks a lot of sense, and if he does well, almost guaranteed that a Prem club will come looking for the next Portuguese manager.

Adams has done the old success on a small budget, that needs to be put to bed as a reason the bring a manager in. I’m not sure Flynns the most likeable person, Newport fans weren’t bothered to see the back of him. I think we need to move away of looking at people who have a past with the club, unless they’re more than qualified. It’s easy to talk in the commentary box a good game, but doing it is another thing.
