    Surely a powerful and extended rendition of this today is the best kind of protest? It would remind Edin (if he needs it) that we haven’t forgotten the good squad that we had, and would show the new players how much support good performing players get at VP.

    I don’t advocate supporting opposition players, but it seemed to me that this would be a more powerful statement than ‘Edin OUT’.

    Crossed my mind you could use poetic licence to rewrite the section with West Ham and Zidane and replace it with Josh Wright and a rhyming word that describes his performances thus far, wouldn’t do the lads confidence much good though.

    Some great attempts there. Shame I don't think you will be able to coordinate enough people to sing the right words. Now I'm going to be a miserable party pooper. Cullen was brilliant for us all the time we had him on loan (even though he felt like our own player), so certainly deserves our respect and I'm sure a round of applause - but that's it. Let's give everything getting behind whatever team we manage to cobble together and not show too much respect to the oppositions players whoever they are. Let's remember Clarke and Marshall were actually City players so if playing I'll allow a respectful round of applause for them too :) .

    Maybe we are bigging Cullen up too much. Yes he was good when he was here but the fact that he is still going out on loan (4th year??) to league 1 clubs may reflect that he is not improving or possibly going backwards. His big hope was to make it with West Ham but that looks more and more less likely. Maybe Interested Bystander has a view on this.

    A warm reception for Cullen when he is mentioned will be enough, not contrived, honest and will send a message. Probably lost on our owners though.

    I agree. Much as I would love him back I would have thought if he was kicking on he would be at least in the Championship by now. I mentioned in another thread that good as he is, he stops the opposition playing and is precise with his passing, but he doesn't really hurt you in the same way as a Dack, or possibly even a Jack Payne, can.
