The other problem is that the things he does well are the unnoticed, hard work, mopping up and organising work.

The things he hasn't done well are set pieces which are highly visible and easy to get angry at.

So, the things he does badly are far more visible than the things he does well which means people easily remember the bad parts. Like Mark Bower says, really.

 

I don't think he is half as bad as folks make out. Is that three goals from his set pieces in the last two games?

We were excellent from our equaliser until the sending off. They never had a look in during that period Tony . We retreated in the face of land of the giants thereafter . Well held out !

Thoroughly enjoyed that game. First 15 mins absolutely all over the place, but we stuck with them and credit to GA sticking to his guns and not panicking. If he’d dragged off platt or oyegoke after we went 2 nil down, their confidence would’ve been absolutely shot at

When was the last time we came back and won from 2 nil down?? Most recent one I can think of is Chelsea!

 

I also thought we saw the true quality of Bobby Pointon after half time until the Walker sending off.

 

Once he woke up to the fact that players were going to challenge him , he had a good game thereafter I agree.

 

Good game today, very open. Peed off with the two soft goals. More so with Walsall celebrating in front of the City fans but justice prevailed in the end.
Many of the old City boys out for a few beers - good to see. Several drunken conversations on the train back to Birmingham - good times.
Shame our late run will end short. On to next season

Well what a crazy, crazy afternoon in the Black country.
The game had everything bar a penalty.
Five goals, slapstick defending and razor sharp finishing.
Definitely one for any neutrals in the crowd.
End to end stuff from start to finish capped off with some brilliant keeping from Walker making sure we secured all three points

 

Everything bar a penalty.....those Walsall fans appealed for about 17 in the second half. I couldn't see a thing from our end but I felt sure he was going to eventually give one

 

I wonder if our recent winning run has anything to do with some players now realising they won't be here next season and scouts may be watching, so they now put a right shift in.

 

He was a Homer for sure. I thought he would too……

 

Not much of a homer if he's not giving them a pen that the whole of the home section screamed for in unison followed by a chorus of 'you're not fit to referee'. Useless ref can't even get being a 'homer' right.

 

He was a Homer throughout the game.
