Must admit, Crawley recruitment this season has been incredible. A load of lads from non-league and a few from random 3rd and 4th tiers across Europe and America. They've even loaned two lads from the league below. They signed L2 cast offs that couldn't get gametime at their clubs and it's all clicked.
They signed for a system and recruited against some scouting database apparently. Worked a treat so far!

Know nothing about the Wagmi boys or their modus operandi
Seeing as Crawley with little over 3k average attendance and in a play off spot
They are certainly out performing usPonty City, vladimir, WilsdenBantam and 1 other person like this. -
But stats based scouting has a team with probably one of if not the smallest budgets this season in a play off mix. It's a big if, but IF they go up, it's a good base to either A) carry on the model of buying lads with good stats from non-league and try sell some of this seasons lads on for huge profits. Or B) someone likes the look of what Wagmi are doing and as its an investment type ownership, and someone can jump on board if the prospects look bright. Or even C) someone really likes the change of plan Wagmi have implemented since slashing the squad, binning off their DOF and re-shaping everything last summer made tries to buy them off Wagmi.
All ifs and buts, but I'd rather be in their shoes right now than ours.Stevay_b, Ponty City, Rogered Tart and 1 other person like this. -
Even without Wagmi there are still 16 clubs out performing is so its not as if they have done something amazing is it ????
Look at the Harrogate model and yet again they have embarrassed us without a liad of moneyConnecticutBantam, CT Bantam, Onside and 1 other person like this. -

I wonder though would the same manager and same players perform the same for you as they are at Crawley? I do feel that maybe there are factors about the club, you the fans being one of them that play a part in the underperformance because the expectations are just so much higher so the pressure on the players and manager are higher and that can lead them to shrink. And every season you are stuck in League 2 the more the expectations increase
Just look for example how over the last few seasons you have seen teams containing multiple players that the fans deemed not good enough and the club decided to offload have outperformed you and these players have done well at these clubs. Using scouting apps might help you identify who would statistically be good signings but they can't identify which players have the mentality and maybe this is where you need to improve no matter who the owner is, you need to be identifying managers and players who thrive under pressure and expectation rather than those who seem to shrink as it seems they are.Stop hovering to collapse... WAGMI would not have been a wise choice. Crawley fans hate them, and the club suffers massive annual losses. They nearly went down this year, and I have no faith in the WAGMI project.

Crawley were faves to go down at the start of the season, they've done well and its down to their manager.

Ironically, though, the 'safe' hands of Stefan Rupp backed by actual capital is proving more dangerous!
This club's in real trouble.

Whilst Crawley are annoyingly doing far better under WAGMI than ourselves under Rupp, something - I don't know what - is telling me it will all end in tears. There are far too many uncertainties with their cryptocurrency model. I may well be completely wrong as I'm not overly clued up in that market but i've just got a hunch.

I think you will find Crawley are doing well despite Wagmi selling off all their star players last summer. They have a manager that’s doing a brilliant job, something we don’t have.
