The EFL cup taking priority over being able to call yourselves "world club champions"?

Then in the same breath having a go at a side that just won 5 0?

It's like I just woke up and it's April 1st again.

 

The Villa side with James Chester, 30 with 35 Welsh caps, Kodjia 30 with 24 Ivory Coast caps, Nyland in goal 29 , 20 caps for Norway etc

 

I highly doubt any Liverpool fan will lose any sleep over last nights result. Its hard enough getting the top two divisions to take the FA cup seriously, never mind the league cup. Football is changing, the cups and the lower leagues are becoming less irrelevant as the years go by and last night was a small take on that. Most big clubs use the league cup as an exercise to get youngsters and fringe players decent game time, i thought Liverpools youngsters acquitted themselves well last night, at various times of the night they looked the far better team. Some of the pass and move stuff i could only dream of watching in the wretched lower leagues. Harvey Elliot looked a great prospect.

 

Villa were clinical and lucky with the second goal. I think Klopp watching that back will be pretty impressed with how the clubs junior set is doing. You could say Villas keeper was arguably their best player.
