The system has to be flawless and at the moment it isn't. There's no point implementing technology when it pretty much boils down to another persons opinion. Goal line technology is excellent, it's infallible, but VAR needs A LOT of work if it's going to be a success.

Liverpool would be about 4th if we had VAR this season with the amount of offside goals that they have got away with

Watching the Schalke V Man City and the referee has just asked for VAR and it's taken 4 minutes plus to come up with a decision, there ruining the beautiful game.

I don't like it at all, it removes controversy (appeal) from the game and l don't accept any of the pro-var opinions unless the var decision was instantaneous. Even then l wouldn't like it but would accept if.
If you missed it. Serie A last Sunday, it makes a joke of actually paying good money to watch a game of football

May be following the way that Super league rugby League do it with the video ref on site in the ground making quicker decisions might help, Sending them all to a central site hundreds of miles away in some cases must slow things down as incidents are recorded and them viewed by a team as required all trying to watch up to 23 games at once, No wonder they still get things wrong or take so long

Ok it may complicate it more but could adopt something similar to cricket where the captain can ask for VAR but if he’s wrong he loses one. Cricket it naturally works as each play is a ball and less free flowing so restrict it to 2 appeals. If the captain isn’t sure whether to appeal how can they expect the ref to be 100% sure.

The trouble with regards VAR is that it will take years to get down to our level of football if ever it does, just seen Portsmouth get the winner against Burton and there player defiantly handled it before it went in.
