Rumour going around on Saturday was Bradford Council want the Bulls at Valley Parade and may even purchase and develop the stadium.

Might be something in it this time!!!!!! Midland Road pedestrianised and linked by a bridge to North Parade. Create a huge fan zone and facility fit for RL finals/ semi finals.

And a pitch resembling a ploughed field just when we seem to have got it finally sorted!

If, if it was to happen the pitch would hopefully have proper investment. Rugger players are athletes these days and scrums (which ripup the pitch) are not contested anymore. Not going to happen anyway so not an issue, unless this is a follow up to not getting the investment for Odsal.

Rugby League has been irrelevant for far too long for anything like this to materialise.

Only 3 thousand at Odsal yesterday,it can't be paying its way,so maybe there is something in this rumour.

Bradford Council & Rugby League can feck off. The last thing we need are this bloody inept excuse for a council poking their noses in to our business

If it could be done right with money spent on the pitch and surrounding areas then it could be a good thing with the lease winding down.
But it’s probably just another non starter.
A successful Rugby club in Bradford would thrive and a joint ownership could be a big help financially

Just need to look at who started the thread to decide how much credence to give this "rumour".

Nonsense. If Naz Shah or her labour cronies on the council were interested in purchasing Valley Parade, it wouldn't be for sport

    3 points ...

    1. The pitch aint big enough and was only allowed as a temporary measure last time
    2. there aint enough runoff outside of the pitch to stop players clattering the hoardings
    3. RL finals get over 60k ... Thats one hell of a re development

The council can do one for me. They had no interest in helping us when the shit hit the fan with the administrations, although they creamed themselves when the city had a premier league football team. They have pumped money into Odsal stadium for
decades and thus supported the bulls . Had pie in the sky pipe dreams for redevelopment for the past 70 years , all on somebody else's money. If Bradford council get their hands on VP , it will be ruined in 12 months.

Even if it means getting the ground back in Bradford hands from the Flamingo Land's Pension Fund and finishing off the stadium's development with a proper stand linking the Main and Midland Road stands?

I don't think that it is going to happen anyway but the pitch size issue could be solved by losing seats in the Kop if the Bradford End was developed. It's all pie in the sky anyway but this is a forum so anything's up for discussion.
