    Remember that game well. We were flying at the start of the season, but Villa outplayed us that day.

    The quality of player in that Villa side though ...McInally, Gary Thompson, Paul Birch.

    Loved that season, even if it did end in massive disappointment.

    Yes same season. I think we beat Leicester 4-1 after losing 4-2 to Villa & City. I can remember how confidently we used to play the ball across the back 4 but we gifted City a goal doing it badly.
    I was 14 and can remember Gary Macallister for Leicester. Great season to be a fan.

    I know I was there, but cannot remember any of those highlights at all.
    Was that the same season we lost to Man City 2-4 as well?

    As I remember it was the same season
    Remember Sinbad gifting them a goal that we never recovered from
    Had some goood banter with the Mancs at that match
