    Dear all,

    Leading up to the Euros in June this year, I am conducting some research looking at fans’ views towards the role of football in response to military conflict.     I'm confused. You asked about the role of football then 'slipped' in a question about a former labour MP?

    "6. Habib Rahman, former lord mayor of Newcastle (England), quit the Labour Party in protest at what he called Sir Keir Starmer’s “unwavering support for the Israeli government’s bombardment of Gaza”. He wrote on X: “As a life-long anti-war campaigner, I cannot accept your inhumane position in support of the Israeli government’s continuous bombardment of innocent Palestinian people ... Your continuous support for the Israeli government, coupled with a lack of compassion, empathy and humanity towards innocent men, women and children in Palestine is unacceptable." Do you agree with his stance?"
