    It certainly is another crazy situation in the world of football.

    I would have expected there to be a conflict of interest for an owner of a club who is also a players' licensed agent. But the FA or the EFL or UEFA don't preclude this. I'd expect this loophole to be closed soon.

    If he was paying the losses out of his own pocket then the hit isn't as bad but as we all know thats not how football club ownership really works. You cannot lose that sort of money over a long term period without having something to show for it, and once it spirals out of control you cannot stop it.
