    Its a possiblilty, i think the club would ideally want someone to take Vaughans contract over for financial reasons but in the current climate can't see that happening. Whereas a club wouldn't normally baulk at a couple of hundred quid, with a pending cap those small amounts are vital when at a premium.

    No I named the other two because they were average CBs that had a good defensive record due to our possession based approach.

    I see Salford have now signed Jason Lowe beating off both Blackpool and Fleetwood. He wont be on peanuts and it will be interesting to see what happens when the salary cap comes in.

    Id rather we didn't. And it was mentioned earlier that Vaughan's wages (only a proportion) won't count towards as deal was agreed previously to salary cap.

    I saw the Will Atkinson rumours yesterday. Did an okay job here under Parky, maybe he has improved since leaving us. I remember he scored the winner against us for Port Vale, but cannot remember whether he played well?

    Is it just lazy rumours, or lazy recruitment, or would he improve us?. I would prefer we brought back Callum Cooke

    Agree totally, if we could get Cooke back as 'our' player (which I've also heard is his wish) we can build a midfield around him - he has been in and out of the set up at Peterborough and to feel wanted and at home could provide us with a key player for the challenges ahead

    Bolton are well known for their smart recruitment! :p

    Do think they are just spending on marquee players with no real idea on recruitment, expecting a bit of a Bradford 18/19 season for them this time around. Don't think they'll get relegated mind.

    Never mind ok, Will Atkinson was dire. I remember him improving from completely invisible to just about noticing him and everyone making up some nonsense about his ball retention being good.

    So would mine be if as a winger I passed it sideways or back to the fullback the first chance I got.

    Pop Atkinson on the Tony Mcmahon list. We can and we must do much, much better.

    We could soon have an experienced midfield (with absolutely zero pace) if we can get Atkinson in to play alongside Clarke and as you suggest add McMahon to that list. And possibly bring in Law for a full house!
