We don't need to accept the party lines that come out of the club. If the club says jump then we don't need to ask how high!

The problem is far too many just accept the rubbish to a point now Rhodes and Rupp don't even talk to us because it's a f&ck you to the fans..Who are you mate? That's what it is. Bradford City is a SME with a rich owner but it hires a Communication Director to relay messages from the CEO and owner...Seriously?? Rhodes should speak to fans and outline the vision for the club both on and off the pitch.

McCall's job is on the pitch and he will carry the can if we don't do well. Yes, we love him but he will know this time he has to get it right but what Rhodes and Rupp just sit there eating pawn sandwiches...Come on!! Let's want to see this club not operate worse than a Sunday League club off the pitch.

What a fantastic signing that is. He will be like Davies was for us in this league. If he stays fit I imagine he will be skipper for them too. A real signing to build a defence around.

That’s a signing which gets teams to sit and take note. And not like a duff journeyman striker who you can get at a similar age dropping down. He will be a real leader. Mega jealous we weren’t in for him. Saw him for Preston in the cup game last season vs us as he made it look easy

Unfortunately our chairman wouldn't know a good manager from a bad one, a chairmen who we hear a lot about is is Darragh MacAnthony at Posh we're told he is an ambitious owner yet they have hardly pulled up any trees, they have flirted with Championship football but very much like City a lower league club over the years
He's actually brought Ferguson back 3 times, as well as many other managers so you have to ask why haven't they been the exception, ambitious owner puts his money into the club I would think giving the manager a good player budget yet they are still league one.
On the other hand you have Andy Pilley at Fleetwood possibly a good example of an owner using his other business interests to help his club, yet he brought a guy in that the majority on here would not set foot into Valley Parade in Joey Barton.

he will produce. Guarantee it. He’s been captain most places he has been. Dropped down two leagues to sign. Great signing for this level.

The problem is perseption , we haven't got a god given right to be a PL / Championship club . We've been let down in the past by false dawns and lies . This as been ongoing since the 60s when i and a few others on here started going , we've had previous owners who for a couple of seasons have made the dream of higher lge football a reality but it's never been sustained . The nearly season springs to mind , a cash / player injection then would have seen us in the old 1st division with a good squad and manager and look what happened . A chairman who wouldn't back the team , lost in the playoffs after looking certs for promotion . The season after the team was broke up and sold , its always been the same . I've asked before who in there right mind would want to buy Bradford City ?, a lower lge 2 team with no visable assets a large catchment area granted but with Bradfordians who would rather travel an hour to watch higher grade football . To say we as fans lack ambition is a load of ballcocks , we have no input into the club , we just turn up in ever dwindling numbers to watch dross . I'd had enough last year Carlisle away - the weather - the garbage representing us on the pitch and most of the crowd chanting you dont know what your'e doing at Bowyer . I will be back ( hopefully ) next season ST in hand and living the dream ( for a few matches anyway ) but it doesen't mean i personally lack ambition it just means i support City .

We could sign Messi and Ronaldo Dave but under the last 3 managers we have had they would have flopped
Doyle didn't fail last season only for us under a different manager he was the leagues top scorer we need a good sort out from the top downwards
Pointless buying a Rolls Royce and not being able to drive it

I love McCall but his signings from his previous spells are more like one good one in ten. Rather than the one in 2 or 3 we will need if we have a wage cap. Add Rhodes into that mix and i fear for our ability to build a squad

My point was at the time of their appointments most were happy with their appointments, as I posted Grayson knew the score with regards Rahic and was never going to sign a two year contract, so Rahic promoted the crazy gang, we all knew they weren't the right choice and knew exactly why Rahic had done it !!
Hopkin had done well in Scotland known as a disciplinarian we saw that from the way he treated players although once again many said at the time them players brought it upon themselves, and then Bowyer who had done well dragging Blackpool back from the abyss whilst working under Oyston.

I don't know if it's true that the club don't have any first team scouts, but if so it's going to make Stuart's job incredibly difficult.

We don't need a Head of Recruitment, and can probably even do without a Director of Football (though it should be offered to Stuart once he's no longer manager, as he can then oversee a continuation of his brand of football - which is what people were begging for under Parky and Bowyer).

But we must have a couple of scouts out there identifying potential recruits at various levels.

No manager is going to see enough live games to know enough to assemble an excellent, value for money squad.

City sound confident of landing Elliott Watt. He has attracted quite a bit of interest from other clubs in league 1 and 2 apparently.

I hope this one comes off

O'Donnell close to agreeing new contract too, again he appears to have attracted interest from other clubs too

..and here lies the rub.Our recent demise has been compounded by the apparent lack of understanding as to what are the basic essentials needed to rebuild the structures on the footballing side .I don't feel that JR has been rigorous or knowledgeable enough to force these issues with Rupp. Budgets have to be set, but without ambition there is no catalyst to enable change for the better. The Manager/Coach has to be more demanding of the Board imo in order to ensure we get the basics right. If we are to progress they are required to understand the process in it's entirety and invest in the idea..this is surely the professional point of view..or why bother. Status quo and stagnate.

I can't work out whether Watt would be a loan signing or permanent, is he still contracted to Wolves?

Thought the same, unless Parker clearly knows the deal is done.

Parker on Twitter believes it's a permanent signing which would appear to be very good business.
