I’d love a Bradford C / Cheltenham half and half scarf. Where do I get one?......
Should have seen all the tat sellers at Celtic yesterday. I’m sure some young uns left with a memento of today, in that respect it’s hard to get too annoyed, but i do understand the frustration that nothing will go towards the foundation. It was probably tricky for the club to get enough stuff together to sell it themselves. It’ll be back to just the bloke selling the pin badges soon enough though.

There is an argument that if the club shop stocked a wider range of products, rather than just replica kits, training gear & cheap crap with a badge stuck on, they wouldn’t be a gap in the market for the likes of ‘badge man’ to fill.
Retro shirts, badges, quality clothing been missing from the City shop for years, including well before ‘him’ .Jay likes this. -

Club Shop is now back in the hands of Avec so club will just get a lump sum so I guess they are not interested in increased sales as there is nothing in it for them.

I think having stalls inside the ground on the concourse is a good idea.
It cuts down on the variables of cost (license) location (you'd need multiple stalls to cover different routes to the ground) and the vagaries of the weather in Northern England in winter.
Theres a lot of space in the lower tier of the
main stand concourse that could be put to good use.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...RonnieBrown likes this. -

The Club should consider some sort of franchise or tie up with one (or more) City centre bars. Somewhere that could sell match tickets, matchday programmes and a range of merchandise.

If it’s not private property there’s nothing anyone can do about it. You could put a burger van outside McDonalds and there’s feck all they can do so long as it’s not using their name or logo. -
The club should have people selling scarfs outside the ground and inside the ground they should sell merch too

This is the advantage the street trader has. They are most likely illegally trading with no set up or planning costs but aren't there often enough for the council to be bothered. If it was the football club opening numerous shops on street corners they'd be all over us. -

It's a good suggestion and maybe it's both easier and cheaper than I imagine but i would have thought that plenty of clubs would have done this by now if it was commercially viable.
NB, I'm not sure the programme sellers come within the street trader laws. I think just outside the turnstiles counts as within the confines of the stadium and as such the are no applicable laws with regards trading consent. -
