Don’t think Cook will be here after the window after his laboured display vs Sunderland and Angol gets injured too often.

oliver is a big brute but not a goalscorer, so i reckon Walker will be top scorer given he may be on pens. Harratt might get double figures too if he plays regularly but expecting goals will come from across the side this year.

 

You've just confirmed in your own post why you are wrong.
Angol does get injured which is why Cook is going nowhere.
Rotation of players this season is going to be key.
We need Cook.

Cook plays the majority of them games this season he will be hitting near on 20 goals so cannot understand why would wanna get rid .............. the new signings are all well and good but there is only one person as things stand who will get us goals and that’s Cook ...........like you said Angol gets injured and another one then we are back to struggling again
If we can afford and he’s happy to be a squad player then Cook stays all day for me

 

pre season is about getting match fitness and you will find a lot of laboured displays for the next month or so

 

It would be nice for him to stay of course but Cook will not be happy bench warming, which he will do now Oliver is leading the line. He left Mansfield to come here for exactly the same reason. Its a refreshing attitude, not being content to rot on the bench and collect.

Oliver will be one of the higher earners here. Can’t see why we’d bring him in not to start him when he had L1 interest.

I do actually like Cook but he needs to be in a 4-4-2 and it seems 4-2-3-1 is our way?

 

Can't remember the last time we had 4 players getting double figures in the same season.

I'm getting now where here can @BWWB , @Park bantam . @Bantam-in-Greece, @Captain Grumpy, @Old Grey Fox or any more of the older end help me out with this one.

 

Did we even manage it when Jewell took us up? Beags on pens and Blake/Mills must have too? Windass signed late and don’t think Rankin or Lawrence would have got double figs.

Its good to have goals spread so we arent over reliant on one man

 

When you go through the whole team its incredible how many options there are:
The following could each get 10+. (they obviously won't all do though)
Oliver
Cook
Angol
Harratt
Walker
Chapman
Young

Then you've got players like Osadebe who I reckon could bag a few. Scales could have a break out season. Smallwood / East / Sutton could get a couple. You'd expect the defenders to get to a few set pieces too. Gilliead won't score though...

Do you seriously see Oliver, Cook and Harratt getting enough starts between them to score 38 goals collectively? All pretty much fighting for 1 place although appreciate games we could go 2 up top.

 

I see what you mean, but I can also see the 3 of them scoring a good few if they come off the bench against tiring opposition.
