I've just heard that Tony died suddenly at the weekend, what a shocker. I met him through other City fans when we lived in Yorkshire. Very sad news, I'm sure some others on here would have known him. RIP Tony.

Yes, David Pendleton mentioned it, on Facebook and Twitter, yesterday. Shocking news.

Was only on nodding terms with him but saw him regularly in the Record Cafe. Tragic.

Knew him through Church and School.

Shocking news that I couldn’t believe when I saw it on his brothers Facebook feed.

For those that knew Tony Cunningham his brother has just given me the details of his funeral, plus this article from T&A

    Tony's funeral

Tony's funeral will be on Friday 4th January at St Francis's catholic church, Norman lane, 5 lane ends at 9.30am followed by a burial at Charlestown Cemetry at 11.

Then from 11 30 we are having a HUGE celebration of his wonderful life at Salt Beer Factory behind the Hop in Saltaire. Tony was such a gregarious man who loved life and people and who lived his life to the full so we want to send him off in true party style!

Everyone is welcome, we would love you to join us in celebrating Tony's life, let the beer and chat flow, laugh, remember and make merry. Tony will be with us and loving it!

    Thanks x
