Bit by bit, piece by piece Dave. A lot to do and finance is always an issue but make no mistake the Ryan Sparks who some on here regularly criticise is making a difference. Not everything can happen in five minutes so some will still complain BUT it is happening in a lot of areas. My advice to those who knock most things is let him and team get on with it.

Hopefully my fellow inhabitants of the lower kop treat these toilets with a bit more respect, so we can all use them in comfort. Instead if like before pissing on the floor and shoving coke bottles down the toilets for some reason and that’s just what goes on in the cubicles. How hard is it to just go to the toilet in the toilet wash you hands then leave…

 

It is one of life's great mysteries why some people struggle to use toilet facilities when out in public. I refuse to believe they have the same issues at home.

Long overdue refurbishment,but any improvements are always welcome.
The toilet facilities within the stadium are an absolute disgrace let's hope when there finished our supporters look after them.
Graffiti and mindless vandalism will be minimal I hope.
The club are trying their best but I can't help feeling as with anything there's always a small minority who see fit to spoil facilities for others.

I've read a lot of people making a lot of demands of Ryan and saying this or that should happen and asking why it isn't already in place.

I'm reading a lot less criticism of him though. After the initial shock of his appointment, most people seem happy with him in place now. Some are reserving judgement, but that's no bad thing.

 

Can't think of anyone that would knock the club in what they are doing off the field, oh, hang on a minute think he's just logged on...!!

 

It’s not just a football thing though.
I work at BT and the amount of telephone exchanges and BT depot toilets that I’ve been to over the last 30 years that are disgusting or unusable is unreal.
The fact that EVERYBODY who uses these facilities are fully functioning half decently educated ADULTS makes it even more strange that they find leaving them in such a state so acceptable.
I genuinely wonder what goes through their heads when they make a conscious decision to leave them in that state knowing their work colleagues have to also use them.

 

He’s making a difference for sure. The club and the stadium shouldn’t have been allowed to get into the state it is in.

 

If you just rented an office in a block and it was shared facilities then maybe but if you leased the whole block the maintenance would be your responsibility.

Fairly standard business lease terms for it to be full maintenance

 

But it’s not really about the toilets is it? It’s more about all the changes that were long overdue, now getting done.

You say “it’s what we would all have done had we been CEO (well, initially said by King Cole)”, yet he’s having to do it because once Richmond left, not one of his successors did, for one reason or another.

Surely Sparks deserves some credit for getting the job done?

If that's a veiled knock at myself for a complaint on running hot water, then I'm disappointed.

A basic commodity, maybe a legal requisitive, for supporters to be able to use, especially in a Covid environment, is not 'criticising' in my eyes.

In context to the post in general, yeah, fairly put.

 

Modernising toilet blocks and replacing seating has more to do with health and safety requirements than 'adding value' in the event of a sale. Furthermore new dugouts are a nice enhancement but are not a catalyst for Stephan to sell imo. Just great to see things moving along.

Lease may be up soon but a new one will be signed as neither side want anything else as neither currently have another option
