Someone mentioned Hopkin giving Alistair Campbell a run for his money in the spin, and then he (you) turned up.

Give your happy clapping a rest fella. Each match will be a battle and we’ve shown we haven’t the stomach for a fight

Haha. I didn't say we would. Just no reason why we can't. What I said about Portsmouth and Peterborough stands though.

What do you expect? Should he just say we're crap? His job is to keep the fragile mentality of our players and the club as positive as possible. Slagging them off in an honest way just so you feel better won't give the outcome we want

If you think the players should 'man up' and take whatever public criticism / honesty you think Hopkin should dish out, then you really don't understand much about motivating a group of people who have been under extreme pressure for nearly six months

I find this type of criticism of Hopkin laughable, but worrying as he'll remember this and perhaps be off at the first opportunity

It's laughable that you say 'without producing' when we are mid-table in the last 15 matches. What did you expect? Auto promotion form? No pre-season and a January window that all clubs say is difficult to trade in and yet you seem to demand miracles and because you're not getting them, you then pick at comments in the media.

I'm amazed that anyone who lived in the Parky era, hasn't got an understanding that it takes time and particularly now with the loan ban, a pre-season. And meanwhile any manager has to work and motivate the players he's been given, which of course means nice words in the press

Who do you want as manager?

I mean you've slated the last four, so it's a fair question

I agree. I don't get why everyone thinks 50 plus points will be needed, when the current 5th bottom run rate is 48.

Of course we want to get to 55, but 49 could be enough

We are at that point of the season where any comments made by a manager or other members of staff can be construed as positive or negative depending on your agenda. I'm not sure why anyone hangs their hat on what is said in pre match interviews anyway, usually just regurgitated soundbites.
Fact is he's got start winning more points from now than teams above him. Thats all he has to do pure and simple. Doesn't matter now what happened in September or August or even the impressive December. If the season ended now we would be relegated, he has till May to rectify that. If he doesn't with the players he has at his disposal then that is failure and i'm not sure the majority of fans would want him to be kept on as Manager. He keeps us up then he gets a chance to build on the momentum and upsurge of good feeling going into next season.

Over to you David, you knew what the task was when you signed on the dotted line.

All these comments you've been making about David Hopkin not being able to wave a magic wand etc tells me you finally accept that we're in a mess, which people have been telling you for literally months- only for you to deny it and tell us all is well.

You've constantly defended the quality of the squad and David Hopkin, played down any fears of a relegation battle and even went as far as predicting midtable. If anyone's been expecting a miracle it's been yourself. For every post you make there's a contradiction somewhere.

See @EwanJM@EwanJM is up and ready to go this morning. Did you go for a morning run feel all ready for the day or just sit looking at a picture of Hopkin while having a cup of coffee?

Look, like it or not the pressure is building on Hopkin and he has to go.

Saturday is a massive game for him. I don't want to hear unbalanced views on Saturday from anyone because failing to beat Walsall is unacceptable in our current situation.
If we don't beat Walsall then the pressure will increase even more.

It's not tosh that Hopkin should go. He's been utter poor!

    I'll keep it simple.

DAVID HOPKIN IS FAILING AS MANAGER OF BRADFORD CITY FOOTBALL CLUB!

    Failing, failing, failing!

It's a results business and he is failing to get the results!

Now, if you accept failure then fine but 15k fans want better then what we're producing!

It's not hard to understand, it's football!

I've had enough of people telling me this squad is too good to down only to look at our league position and realise we are second bottom. We are there for a reason and are there on merit. A point a game since HopkinS took charge. Saturday is the biggest game of Hopkins management career so far. Lose it and we are in deep sh!t as that fixture run in March is as bad as it could probably be.

I’d say the squad for 5 months of the season was dire. It was aided by a few experienced signings in Caddis and Henry and O’Brien to get us to December/January.

Still now it is poor in areas in particular defence and lightweight up front.

It is however the reason we are down there and is not too good to go down, agreed.

We have some decent players but mixed with 5 or 6 very average league one players who all have relegations under their belt or played for struggling teams all their careers.

Hopkin can say what he wants its all hot air anyway, What really matters now is results not talk or even performance, We now have a short 13 game season and we need to achieve 20 points, That is his job and what he should be judged on

Well there you go you’ve answered it in your own comments. Press conferences and articles mean nothing.

Quite how his comments have generated a 5 page thread, I do not know. Shows the microscopic analysis modern day managers are put under.

Let’s just do our bit tomorrow. The rest will take care of itself

It generates 5 pages because the rubbish he spouts does not match performance on the pitch, There is an old saying he should remember that if you have nothing to say, Say nowt

Maybe in your terms. But in his bosses terms hes on course for the 20th finish that JR wanted.

Maybe that target seems unambitious now but at the time when we were 7 or so points adrift, we'd have all snapped it up as quick as you can say "Edin doesn't know football".

I don't agree that Hopkin 'has to go' I think that would be detrimental at this stage. he's staying til the end of the season at least, like it or not. and I think we have a better chance of staying up by not making a knee jerk change.

however, I wouldn't pay much attention to what @EwanJM@EwanJM and The Pulse have to say. They don't seem to have a scooby about what happens at the club, on the pitch, or about football in general. deluded and too biased to give an objective view of anything.
