Despite all the difficulties mentioned both demand and sales of houses has never been higher

 

All we can do at the moment is increase supply I think, but as has been said the Tories will never really have the political will to do so as in george osborne's words 'all it will do is create more Labour voters'.

I'm doing a degree and was working 30/40 hours a week before the pandemic mate you don't need to tell me to be clever

 

I believe decent and affordable housing is a right and not a commodity so it depends on your viewpoint. The market should work for us not the other way round

 

People still need places to live regardless of whether or not they are reasonably priced

 

You can buy a house though. Just not the idea that you want.

Well I'm assuming since you haven't bought one, you don't want the ones you can afford?

Mate I haven't even considered buying a house at the moment, I pay £525 a month in rent for a flat with no living room and thats without bills. Property down here is another level of nuts that is literally a world away from Bradford property prices. It's a pipe dream to even try and save until I finish my degree at the earliest given I also have been out of work for a year and off furlough since last july.

 

They're not only being allowed, they're being endorsed and any voice to the contrary is at real risk of being shouted down as equally racist and potentially face more serious consequences, such as losing their job.

You didn't but we've had to wait just 2 weeks for someone to post a relatively similar comment on a tread. It's quite funny when you think about it.

Because when I made the comment it want specifically about you. It was about the general outlook that you see on social media and in person from a significant about of you people.

The fact we only had to wait two weeks for a prime example made me chuckle.
