Aye, I tried to explain this to those who wanted us to lose out on a trip to Wembley a couple of weeks ago that we’d be still ending mid table. 2 points it may have been, but 8 teams were above is more importantly, they can’t all fail to win and is keep winning. We won 3 on the trot in a 46 game season, it doesn’t excuse all the crap the fans have to endure. No Wembley and now 8 points behind say in 15th with a pudding pitch to boot, not been a good couple of weeks. But it’s been a terrible 6+ years so what can you really expect?

As I said earlier, the gap is too large (of course not mathematically) in my honest opinion to gather in. It would require an enormous run of results and I just don't feel this particular squad has enough in it, as we have injuries, inability to create and convert chances, indifferent home form and the real grit to get over the line. We have 13 games in 53 days that is one punishing schedule.

    Rupp out

It's been a real poor time since that play off defeat and ultimately the shoulder of burden is on Rupp, from his enterprise with Edin, a constant turnover of personal both on and off the pitch, with little communication and absolutely, sod all of a plan

I was gutted when we lost to Wycombe, it was conceivably our only chance of any positive outcome from this season. We move onto next season and I worry both on and off the field, it will be rinse and repeat with apathetic fans served as it's main course.

Fair play to the heavyweights of the division coming from 2 down to lead...

Yeah, can't see us getting a playoff spot now. Hopefully, that bit of money we've made from the Bristol Motors Trophy can be put to good use in the summer and we can bring in the required quality for a top-three finish.

I agree, I think we've left ourselves too much to do.

I also think while we might put a run of results together, we also have plenty of time to put another winless run together.

Fully agree with what others have already said regarding us leaving ourselves probably too much to do for sure, but over the next 10 days we have Donny home, Accy away and FGR home, now obviously this is Bradford City we're talking about so we know exactly what happens from here, but realistically all 3 of these games are easily winnable and if by some miracle we achieved 9 points then I'm pretty sure we'd be seriously back in the race for the play offs.

8 points behind playoffs at half time, turning out to be bad afternoon for City.

    Half time scores

    • Crewe 1-0 Morecambe
    • Newport 0-0 Mansfield
    • Salford 0-1 Gillingham
    • Swindon 0-0 Harrogate
    • Walsall 1-0 Doncaster
    • Wrexham 4-0 Accrington
Even split of results with 2 good, 2 OK and 2 bad. The 2 bad ones are probably the worse 2 for us as it now puts us 8 points from 6th & 7th win 2 hand on them both which would leave us with a lot of work to do and needing to beat at least 1 of them when we play them.

Absolutely agree. With Wimbledon winning earlier and Gillingham and Walsall winning at half time, our season very much looks doomed as we stand

Harrogate now winning as well and with Wimbledon winning earlier that's opening a 4 point gap to 10th so quite a few teams pulling away from us
