And therein lies the bloody problem.

Id be absolutely fine if the 6/7 mentioned went and we brought only 3/4 in. I think we are ok for bodies, its the strength in depth we lack.
We cant get much worse than BRE, DMH, Samuels and Guthrie. Id take that risk. They are simply appalling.Foghornleghorn likes this. -

Players might go to other clubs and do a little better than they did for us because they might get more game time but remember playing for Bradford City isn't just about playing in front of a 8-14k fan base, its a big club in the lower leagues with a lot of pressure on it. Some players can't handle the pressure and don't produce the goods.
Then reason my clubs recall their players or the Austin should go back is because he's better off scoring goals at Wolves under 23's or find a smaller club with less pressure like Stevenage which he can relax more and gain more confidence.
If I was doing a presentation to the PL Clubs I would be saying if your players want or learn about handling pressure then they should join us but don't send players that can't handle it as we don't want them.
We need players that can cut it! Austin isn't for us and we are not for him. Send him back!Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Ulysses S Grant likes this. -

The Don and Gutherie are not the answer. Samuels i would hang on to for now , especially if he is only a bit part player/ third or fourth striker, even more so if Wolves are paying most of his salary, he must have something to be part of a premier league academy.baggers likes this. -
Didnt realise scott sellars ( connor's dad) is academy manager and former under 23 manager at wolves. I wonder if he can figure out a way of samuels going back and at the least cost to city

Depending upon what we can get in the (ridiculous) January window, the loss of BRE, Guthrie, Longridge, DMH off the slate would free up a lot more for potential signings. But my major beef is with the EFL. We're in a pandemic, a lot of clubs are on their uppers, we've never experienced anything like this before. And yet! The EFL continue with this January window madness. For f's sake, we're in the middle of really difficult times. Open up the transfer season so that it's all year long. I can't believe the EFL have been so crass and so short sighted. No window! Transfers allowable throughout the season.

With S and T's obvious knowledge of the youth teams I would not be in the least surprised to see a couple of young loanees come in. Lets hope they are of the Burke/O'Brian/Cullen variety.
