Three and Out

I have said that I will come to games at VP, and that although desperately unhappy, I will not Boo the players during the match.

As I live out of the area, then this is one opportunity to see family and friends. I can also see, in person, what is going on.

On Tuesday evening, I walked out of Valley Parade with a friend, when their fourth goal went in and we were three behind.

I have never ever left before the final whistle, prior to the Coventry game.

I talked to my friend beforehand and we had decided that if/when we were three down, enough was enough. So we just left.

I have decided to do this from now on. Clearly when we go so far behind there is zilch chance of any recovery.

I was not the only one who left and a large number of the very reduced gate did the same.

So a tangible act. Not abusive, just showing disgust at what is happening.

I invite others who still go to VP, to consider doing the same.

As I said, for me, there is more to going to VP, than just the football. I accept that probably 4,000+ season Ticket holders did not go on Tuesday. Having decided that I still will go, I am just setting out how I will deal with further defeats. If enough feel that is a way of dealing with defeats, it is a visible and active protest about what is happening.
