If Bowyer is backed accordingly, anything less than promotion is a failure.

Starting next season in alphabetical order of league position could be the best we can expect.....

Bear in mind FOUR teams get promoted. Three automatically, one via play off. So that's a one in 7 shot of been promoted. If we don't at least make the playoffs, then god help us!

Realistically were looking at a 2/3 season stay in L2 or more. We're not a down on its luck championship/PL club, historically we're a big 3rd tier club with dreams and ambition.
We're a long way off the physicality and grit needed to thrive in L2 and GB is going to need a few transfer windows to replace the dead wood and bring in the right men for the job.
It would take a lot to go down next season and I can't see the trapdoor opening for us however bad this season has been. I don't think we'll see a huge clear out this summer due to contracts but with the right signings a couple of strong leaders on the field will work wonders even with a largely unchanged squad.RonnieBrown and Onside like this. -

I can't see us struggling to stay up but no division is easy to get out of and we are now a Div4 club, the worst of the Div3 clubs to slip into it
A really big task to build a promotion team in a few months and slim the garbage squad.RonnieBrown likes this. -

Impossible to answer. All guesswork atm.
Words are simply that. I'll hold until clarity rears its head -
A lot could depend on who ends up joining us on the way down. I think Scunthorpe and Plymouth would stand a better chance of bouncing straight back up than Walsall, Southend and Wimbledon so if the bottom 4 stays as it is, that could work in our favour.
-
(we currently have less points than the 2 teams sitting in the bottom 2 places in league 2 - that's how bad we have been this season) -
It’s a total clear out of these losers. We then have to rebuild, but of luck the play offs
-
Would need to wait and see what happens in the summer before I can answer but I still believe we have a handful of decent players in the squad that should be here next season (Doyle, Scannell, Akpan, Caddis, Ball) so if we can add some balance to the squad and a bit more quality I think we should be in with a good chance of finishing top 7. Even more so if we are able to keep the likes of Payne, Butterfield and O’Brien (although not sure how likely that is).
However, all guess work at this time, there is a long summer of rebuilding ahead. -
Inside-outside, you are deluded. This team will be in the National League very soon. It juts doesn't have ability or bottle. A 'few transfer windows'??? Jesus wept..................

Too much to ask to get shut of the worst squad in the EFL and replace it at the first time of asking with pretty much a one hundred percent hit rate in the transfer market.
About tenth or eleventh is acceptable if we're going to be understanding of the situation. -
Recruitment will be key. At least we wont have Rahic deciding.
