That was depressing. But, you could make up a decent side if you could just combine the best from all three sides...

Why this comparison? What if-ery, really! Those sides had us concerned for our league membership, this one has us as -- at the moment -- nailed on relegation certainties and, absent yet another major clearout, will be in large part what we have to play with in the division below. So it's not unreasonable to wonder how it would fare.

But can one make up a decent side from all three? I think so. 23-man squad, using only our own players and assuming they're in good health and playing up to their capabilities:

Keepers: McLaughlin, O'Donnell

Defenders: Davies, Knight-Percival, Mellor, O'Connor, Oliver, Ramsden, Wood

Midfielders: Bullock, Colville, Daley, Evans, Flynn, J. O'Brien, Reid, Robinson, Syers

Forwards: Dagnall, Doyle, Hanson, Moult, Wells

I don't think that group would disgrace us. Some choices are a bit iffy, I'll concede, but I needed bodies, and cover!
