After all the euphoria around Donaldson’s signing and the potential for Doyle to score loads more goals, then we still have the issue of the third man.

If Donaldson and/or Doyle are injured/ill/suspended/out of form then we need a third striker.

Perhaps the option of bringing someone on in the 65/70th minute to freshen up the attack and/or a tactical change.

    Waiting for a third striker!

Harry Lime would be a good signing, then.

Always seen him as sort of an attacking midfielder. Not sure if he is a player who occupies the ‘deep sitting’ number 10 or as a player who sits wide but isn’t really a winger (Nicky Law type). He certainly is not an ‘out and out’ striker.

Where do you see him ‘in this’?

Agreed, he's a star shaped peg in a team with round or square holes.

Absolutely. Plus if we've managed to find a club for wright then I imagine McCarten will have a few offers.

I heard we paid footballs top agents whatever they wanted just to get Wright to pee off.

    They're struggling with Riley though.

Riley is a harder one to get rid of me thinks. He hasn't got the luxury of being "well liked" in the game or having a half decent season a few years back at a professional level, so you'd be signing a complete unknown.

And Edin reckoned that's how you made money... spending a lot on complete unknowns!

Personally speaking, I’d love to see him at another club. Don’t think he’s good enough.

But when he’s been at his best for Stanley and Lincoln, he’s been deployed as a second striker. He also plays as a no10, but I’ve never been keen on that position at this level. Give me pace next to a big lad every time. Someone like Kieran Agard or Nicky Maynard

    100% agree.

McCartan isn't good enough and he needs to leave and yes we need a decent forward with pace around the big man for sure.
