Why do we seem to sign more than our fair share of injury prone players - prior and whilst on our books.
Reeves, Ismail, Guthrie even Thorne (at least he made up for it when he returned). Looks like Evans could be added to the list.

I don't recall many dissenters on here when 32 year old Evans was recruited by us as a striker on a two year contract

'Fantastic signing' .... 'Great signing' ... 'Good signing' ... 'Top signing' were some of the repeated comments.

He's a 32 year old who won't recover from knocks and injuries as quickly as a 22 year old would and hasn't played as a striker for 5 years at Pompey. There are questions to be asked of our recruitment policy when these kinds of signings are welcomed so readily into VP.

Thank they paid a decent amount of money for Reeves. So they aren't all cheap, injury prone, journeymen.

We probably don't have more players, statistically, suffering injuries compared to other clubs. But when they reduced the size of the squad, then it tends to look more apparent because their replacements are mostly inexperienced, or crap, or both.

If/when they can put a full strength team out on the pitch. Then City are probably a bog standard, mid table 4th division team. Take a good proportion of that 11 out of the equation and they're a team flirting with relegation. That's what we're presently witnessing. A mid table team with a lengthy injury list.

To be fair to Reeves it was mental health problems that kept him out so long.

    Cheap.

Although, if I was the owner, be asking serious questions of out club dr, fitness and physio coaches.

I wont be asking fraud because he's clueless and can not be trusted.

I think the medical consists of beating the club record of running from the ground up to the garage at the top of the road, buying a pint of milk and getting back .
If they beat the record held by Gordon Watson ,they get a contract .........little does Julian know that poor Gordon did it on crutches .
