He was poor and scratching my head why Mellor started but no worse than 7 or 8 others out there

 

Young players need development but most of all leadership both on the field and off. Let me know when we have both and the same performances from Riley!!

 

Not sure what you hope to achieve with this thread, it ties in with all the other threads on our current performances.

 

He got beat every time until their winger went off if he is better than Mellor we are in trouble at right back.

What's harsh is sticking this kid in over an experienced palayer like Mellor when he isn't even close to being ready. Honestly my heart sunk in the car when I heard that he was starting he's being hung out to dry. Teams already know about him and are targeting him because he's not up to it didn't stop one cross or win one battle all day was astonished to see him on after half time.

 

I agRee so let’s aim our anger at the coaching team not Riley. A good coach would be showing him the way and protecting him with a winger who tracks back

 

He just shouldn't be on the pitch at the moment and he has to take some responsibility. I know what your saying about coaching etc but he's come here to get first team competitive football and that was his decision giving him excuses will not help him. Players are covering for him and that will only hamper the rest of the team. McGowan did it a lot today and Scannell did it on Tuesday.

I'm not a big fan of slating players but I don't see the desire from him he's avoiding getting involved at times. Like Akpan he ran away into positions he couldn't receive the ball today rather than offering himself up which is not acceptable to me.

Football's a harsh business there's no hiding place he can either read stuff like this and let it get to him or he can grow a pair man up and start fighting I hope he does the later because if he do3snt the reality is that league two and non league are littered with players with a background like his.

 

He got turned today by Akinfenwa....he is shite

 

There were worse on the pitch and at least he tried, any anger should be vented at the likes of Wright who wondered around scratching their backsides all game, better still at the management for absolutely no plan. Do they even go on the training pitch!

 

I don't see ANY passion from ANY player tbh. When we scored, the camera showed our bench, and honestly, not one of them gave a shit. I know it's early days and togetherness will come and all that, but really - a bunch of players playing together not with each other. Sums it up. Don't really see it in MC either.

 

He wasn't alone in being terrible today Akpan and Seedorf were equally as bad but I would have happily seen all three subbed off after 20 minutes. We can make excuses for him but it won't help him he has to take responsibility for his own performance which frankly lacked bottle and fight.
