From the 4 players we’ve released or sent back- is there anyone we should have signed permanently?

Cooke- Probably the best of the bunch. Our best midfield player, often being asked to play in a role he wasn’t accustomed to thanks to Bowyer, has talent, might go on to do better elsewhere and yet it’s all if and buts isn’t it. Might have done this and that if so and so happened. Can’t remember many stand out games to make him a ‘must sign’.

    Conclusion- Not arsed either way.

Connelly- Put teams on the back foot, frightening pace but little end product and very inconsistent.

Conclusion: Probably wasn’t on much so sign up as a back up winger depending on the Ismail situation.

DMH- Is Mottley-Henry a homegrown player and is he the reason Devine was being kept out of the match day squad? If the answer is yes then we should have signed him as he’s better than Devine. If not then we were right to get rid. Strange signing.

    Devitt- Have nothing to say.

    Your thoughts?

From a financial point of view any reduction in out goings is a no brainer.
Until the powers that be at the EFL admit defeat an put this season firmly to bed nobody can make any kind of financial commitment.
Big changes on the horizon for all sport in general.
Lets face it it's never going to be the same once we resume the game.

Maybe tentative talks have been held with 1 or 2 of their agents about a permanent signing in the future. Very difficult for club to commit right now though

Bronco, WilsdenBantam and Offside like this.

It's not like you had a choice apart from DMH as their loan deals were up. It's possible if the season does restart you may try and get some back on a month long loan but tbh it's looking less and less likely league 2 will resume the season

I’m guessing every other club in the same position have sent their loan players packing then? A quick look suggests that’s not the case. This appears to be a choice made by the club but happy to be shown something which suggests otherwise.
