    Project description : an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned to achieve a particular aim

    Have heard a lot of the new signings talk of being part of "the project" at the club.

    I first heard this sort of language when the PL started bringing in Managers from overseas.

    Cannot recall anyone at City before ever referring to a "project" as a way of describing how we are going about our business.

    Is this an influence from our CEO perhaps, to give some sort of focus on what we are hoping to achieve.

    I know words are cheap but does this show that we are finally getting our shit together behind the scenes?

    I hope so.

    What project is this ha ha. Operation own nothing?

    The only thing that matters is getting out of this awful div 2. That is not a project its a MUST!

    Around the project I’ve liked the majority of the signings so far and think we have maybe finally cracked it after a few dodgy years but everyone thought the same in January and look how that turned out.

    I think at this level the manager is the main influence and if he’s good you will be a good side it’s simple. If you are going to have a project you need to put some real money into it. I don’t see that at the minute and I we save that for the championship/top end of league one.

    Projects can be important, look at Phil Parkinson. According to many on here in the new manager poll thread, there was no way our former manager would drop as low as League 2, but there he is now as a National League manager. Surely it was the whole package, rather than the tons of Hollywood money that attracted him to the Wrexham "project".
