    These, jointly, are massive.
No melodramatic, histrionic scenes from me - but they are crucial, to our Lge 1 survival.

    Today - Burton Away
    Tues - Shrewsbury Home
    02 / 02 - Wycombe Away
    09 / 02 - Fleetwood Home
    16 / 02 - Plymouth Home
    23 / 02 - Walsall Away

Following that - A real tough March to come.

First off, one game at a time, starting with Burton, today. Let's avoid defeat at all costs - We don't want or need another losing streak !!
ALL the above fixtures are winnable, IMHO - But a draw today would be a fair start to a decent run. We need a few more players in, and Hopkin to adopt his December tactics again.
I would hope City are at least 20th (in the table) by the end of these fixtures - And we'll need to be, to have a fighting chance of retaining our Lge 1 status, for the remaining 12 games will not be easy, indeed there are some tough games in all those.
If City can glean 10 points (minimum), from the immediate fixtures above, I'll be quietly confident of being a Lge 1 side, next campaign.
Let's Kick that off with a great performance, today ..........

Agree with a minimum of 10. I believe the cut off point will be 53 points, give or take a point.

A return of 10 points will mean we shall have to get 18 points from our remaining 12 games, so basically win one lose one.

    So.....?

    Today - Burton Away - L
    Tues - Shrewsbury Home - W
    02 / 02 - Wycombe Away - D
    09 / 02 - Fleetwood Home - W
    16 / 02 - Plymouth Home - W
    23 / 02 - Walsall Away - L

The Home form is crucial in survival!

I think Burton is going to be tough, given that they restored some pride this week with the narrow defeat (by a relatively disinterested Manchester City). I think Clough and their team will be wanting to make a point by getting all three. :(

I just can't see 3 home wins on the bounce, we simply ain't good enough nor have a squad with enough depth.

You say home form is crucial to which I partly agree but we simply need to start winning on the road, if we have any chance of staying up.

    Let's hope today!

I bet you thought that before the 24th November as well but low and behold, we won our next 3 league home games.

Think we need more than 20pts to be honest said before last week defeat to sarfend we needed 12pts from 7 games it's now 12 needed from 6 IMO.

Very likely since we had lost 4 on the bounce at home.... Be realistic, you would have thought the same?

BTW, we won 4 on the bounce at home.

A defeat today would be an absolute disaster as some of our rivals are not even playing today, but obviously the opposite being a win would be ridiculously huge. Big pressure game for us today and a chance to turn it around, also Rochdale away to Barnsley is handy.

I did yes, but we did it and unlike you, I don't see why we can't do it again, and yes, we did win 4 on the bounce at home, but I was relating my reply to your 'I can't see 3 home wins on the bounce' comment.

Rochdale will win at Barnsley today. (Bit of reverse psychology ;))

Apologies about context. I do feel we can't win 3 on the bounce at home and so going back to my original point , as posted to Bigrod, we need to increase on wins on the road.

As above, "let's hope today" !!

Absolutely. However winning away is very hard. Given that we have only managed three draws this season then apart from Southend, we have the lowest total in the division!

So it is win or bust based on the statistics.

Today Burton are 8th in the Division based on Home performance, whereas our Away form is 22nd! https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/league-one/table.html

Over the last 6 Home games Burton are 13 th W3 D1 L2; City are 18th in the last 6 Away matches W1 D2 L3.

My worry is we keep getting forced into "must win" games due to our form. Fortunately we have managed to win most of the "must win" games so far e.g Oxford, Rochdale, Accrington, but there's no guarantee that it will keep happening. We need to get into a position where we can afford to lose a couple of games here and there.

February needs to mirror December for form. Because looking at our March fixtures, we ain’t getting much...

Just like the cup draw, from being behind at Peterborough, sparked a mini run of form after, I hope the draw today helps us kick on for this period of games. The mood will be lifted for Tuesday. Here’s hoping we don’t concede any more wonder goals early on again.

Yeah, it's not like we're having a topsy turvy season either losing to dross and beating decent sides, we're getting spanked almost without exception by top six sides.

Peterborough may be the only exception - and even then, they just lost a fat cloud overhead.

Totally agree "the bar" from the next 4 fixtures has to be 10pts. But we ain't going to get near unless there are new recruits through that door on Mon-Tues. Today we deserved the point Burton got lucky going ahead just on the stroke of half time. It did look in the early part of the second half as though Burton would go on to add further. But we kept in it getting one or two corners and eventually Akpan fires in from a loose ball. Our deficiency is there to see time after time the ball is launched up to Doyle and it's straight back at us. We need someone to get on the end of those balls if we insist on playing that way ?.

However back to the point and if ? IF we did manage to capitalise on this three game run at home and nicked a point at Wycombe then 38pts from 32 games ? Then with 14 games to go 17pts (my target 55pts to be safe?) looks within reach. But this will depend on recruitment if any ? with the clock shamefully having been allowed to run down almost to the last. My fear is the cavalry won't arrive or of insufficient quality to make a difference and we fail to capitalise on this run of homes and it gets beyond us in March as has been said.
