Thank God This Awful Season Is Over

God awful league 2 football with worse referees. Here we come. Clear out this set of losers. Get some Sunday league thugs in for some entertainment

 

I hate to say it but i think we could be surprised how many of the current squad are still with us next year. It costs alot to pay them off.

 

There's a good chance a few of them will have relegation clauses in their contracts and it has also been suggested most, if not all will see a significant drop in their pay packets next season. It may not be as difficult to offload them as you think.

 

playerslet us down this season more than ever, which isnt something we're used to recently. Id be happy if they all left but those that stay need to nut up and show what theyre about next season. no sympathy and no excuses because they already should have performed this season. Edins gone, we're getting a bit of stability under a good manager and the much needed behind the scenes changes are being made hopefully so they have all the tools to succeed if they want it enough.

 

Glad it’s finally over, time to switch off for a few weeks and come back desperate in a couple of months time.

 

This season could only get worse if Leeds get promoted. Surely the football gods can't be that cruel......

 

Trust me GB will get rid of as many of them as he can - we should know a lot more by Wednesday

 

The warning signs were there after seeing Bury spend silly money and get relegated and now we can add our name to the walk of shame. It’s not what you spend but how you spend it.

We’ve got to make sure we’re ready when the season starts. Get them in ASAP, build a team spirit and winners mentality from day 1. Give the fans hope and get VP rocking again.

 

What a truly awful season. Open top bus and bunting to celebrate the fact it is over. God knows what will happen next season though. I look at Notts County today, and so should Mr Rupp.

 

God absolutely dredful season.. All the hope left me after walsall. After that every time we lost i laughed, just stopped caring. Felt like a chore to come and watch the 'team'!
But im just glad its all over. Take a few months away from it and come back keen.

Lets come back stronger.

We are obviously going to have a challenge with some of the players who are still under contract but many of these will be told in no uncertain way that they are not what he wants at the club. Interestingly the ones you mention are very similar to the list I would have - I have a feeling there might be a couple more GB will possibly want to keep. I was very impressed with how he handled his interview after the match - Pulse was just embarrassing but he wasnt buying the attempts at some praise and Radio Leeds he was very clear in telling it how it was. He also handled the occasion of the day with great dignity and empathy. He was honest that he hasnt been able to have the impact he would have desired and hoped for when he came in but now its all over lets us all be honest in his defence - this bunch of players have made up one of the worst teams we have ever had the misfortune of having to support and he will know clearly in his dressing room which of them have the balls to come back from this.

The only three that I would say with any certainty he'd want are Woods, Mellor and Scannell.

I think he'd bin the rest if he could.
