    Top man once spoke with him many years ago when he brought his Spurs side up to play Leeds in the FA Cup, he was in the same hotel, no airs and graces with the guy loved talking football, the wife thought I'd left her I was gone so long.

    As England manager he gave me one of the best games I've seen, and he holds an unbeatable England player record.

    Before my time as a footballer, but he was terrific as England manager. Always fascinating to listen to as a commentator. Sad loss indeed.
