With great respect this post only exaggerates the disconnect between the club and fans
The team are floundering on the pitch and fans are supposed to be grateful for a few shiny new seats to sit on
Fans patience is wearing very thin we need progress on the pitch and quick or the shiny seats won't be getting much use
Hopefully one of your projects is to find an interested owner and a manager who doesn't trot out the same old post match post mortem again respect to you but this club is failing where it really matters ON THE PITCH
Happy Christmas to you too and am 100% with you for an unlikely promotional new year

I didn’t say anyone had to be grateful but isn’t it interesting that only a few months ago many on here were complaining about the run down state of the ground.
Now apparently it isn’t an issue. Makes all my points perfectly, thanks and bye.

Again you highlight the disconnect and show a lack of understanding of some of the fan base
I too have followed the club many many years and spent thousands of pounds doing so
People have opinions and have the right to air them whether you agree or not
The ground may need a little TLC but thats not the biggest concern at the moment surely you agree with that
I afforded you respect obviously not reciprocated
    We agree to differ

I've appreciated your input, and your work for the club, and I mean you no ill will, but your desriptions of away trips that no one else could attend sometimes sounded like you were valiantly performing an onerous duty on behalf of us plebs. And, latterly, you've been coming over as defending the indefensible. I think a break from here would do you good. All the best.

Oh come off it what an absolutely stupid thing to say. So you want to play Sutton United and Barrow for the rest of time go and support your local village the club don’t need fans like you.

It isn’t an issue because, to the clubs credit, they have improved areas within the stadium. Why would it still be an issue after work has been done? A strange example to use for defending the dross on the pitch and how the club is run.

You’re the closest this forum has to a voice inside the club and instead of respecting the majority view that what is being served is unacceptable you’re doing what the club does best and make excuses and tell the very people who ensure we have a club (the fans) how they should feel about the current atrocity which is how the club is being run from the boardroom right down to the pitch.

    Shame on you.

    Simply put.

The ‘consortia’ story, is hearsay at best. Apart from a couple of posters there is no evidence whatsoever to substantiate it.

Something dreamed up whilst sitting in a garden shed, dreaming of the past and what ifs at best. At worst, someone dreaming about the individual in this make believe shed.

Off the field, the club seems to be making progress.

The stadium has enjoyed some upgrades.

The club appointed Derek Adams, who had a good history.

Adams set out his aim, ‘“Next season, my aim is to take us beyond this division and into Sky Bet League One. That is the pressure I put on myself, wherever I go, and I try to handle that pressure as well as I can”. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/derek-adams-happy-to-embrace-promotion-pressure-at-bradford-city-3261633

The club had also stated that promotion was the aim.

    The pitch looks excellent.

Then we come to the main thing. The football. The results have been deeply disappointing.

We can’t score enough and until Wednesday struggled to keep a clean sheet.

To be totally fair, the number of victories over the last 22 games is shocking.

Injuries, seem far too numerous, (although other teams certainly are not immune).

So far, this is turning into a deeply depressing season.

The future. Well if any mythical takeover is to take place, then it needs someone who has substantial financial muscle, rather than people with a couple of millions here or there.

lt also requires someone who has a balanced view of the way forward and can inject proportionate funds, so as to avoid overstretched commitments.

There are a lot of positives at Valley Parade, the trouble is those taking the stage have not been able to perform and meet the spectators expectations. It feels as though this season is heading for another flop.

How on earth is that stupid?

by your same example if you arent happy with the state of the club go support a successful club and bugger off with your nonsensical whinging. Frankly its toxic. Shooting down people for stating a fact that disagrees with your world view. Snowflake much?

also great job gatekeeping the club. Who are you to decide who should support the club? Id suggest hes a better fan as they stick around and actually support the club like you are supposed to. Instead of moaning about it and telling other fans to do one.

There is a cracked subset of fans who expect the world for this club.. we train at a school..

imagine sparks only trying to get promoted because bantam begins whinged about the state of the club on bantam talk.

I know its a rant but this forum is just full of negative whinging.

This is a deeply disappointing response.

I've always respected you as a poster, but you now seem to be seriously out of touch with the feelings of City fans. Look around the ground at home games - there are big gaps everywhere, as loyal season ticket holders are choosing not to bother to go to games that they have paid for. Yes, there is some hysteria on here. But it's not just the hotheads who are now seriously brassed off. Plenty of balanced, reasonable supporters are questioning the lack of investment in the team, which is what supporters really care about.

Everyone can see that the current squad is simply not good enough, particularly up front. On Wednesday we looked like we could have played until Christmas without scoring, even against a very poor Colchester team on a long away trip after playing a tough FA Cup tie three days earlier.

You make the comparison with Parky's long losing run, but that is false equivalence. The big difference is that Parky's team was full of players who'd already proved themselves to the fans, so they were cut some slack. This team is full of players who've done nothing of note and in several cases have been part of several seasons of failure. There is nothing whatsoever to suggest that this squad is capable of mounting a long winning run to push for promotion. Without reinforcements in January it's much more likely to be hovering above the relegation zone than in the playoffs.

I'm a 25 year season ticket holder and a generally 'glass half full' supporter. I've even been accused of being a 'happy clapper'. But I'm getting sick of watching has beens, never will be's and perennial sick notes while our multi millionaire owner keeps his hands in his pockets and fails to rectify the abominable decline in our league position that he has presided over since he bought the club. Mr Rupp once said that he was determined to put right the mess that his deluded sidekick caused. It's about time he started to live up to that statement by spending some money on the team instead of the seats. Reckless spending that threatens the club's existence is obviously undesirable. But moderate investment from our wealthy owner is not an unreasonable expectation and is not 'hysteria'.

It's great that you are involved in various projects. But the project that most fans really care about is success on the pitch and that looks a very long way off at present.

No I don’t but the fact is it’s the likes of Sutton and Harrogate that have risen rather than us sinking to their level

Don't kid yourself. There is very little difference between the national league and league 2 these days, the onl major difference being not all the sides are full time professionals. Hence we are seeing teams coming up and looking fairly comfortable against established league 2 sides like ourselves. They don't even have to raise their game, merely just be organised and have good fitness levels.

I think when he says it isn’t an issue now he is replying to those posters who said the money should have been focused on the team and that ‘we’ would sit on glass rather than new seats if it helped the push.

We have here an owner who injected funds to prevent the club from going under. All due to his lack of interest and misplaced trust in his business partner. The club is now on a stable footing and needs that further injection of cash, to bring in the required quality for us to push on. We’ve heard, nor seen nothing of him for the last few years which is disgraceful, particularly as we seem to be dying a thousand deaths on the pitch. Some sort of statement whether he’s happy with current proceedings, looking to sell, looking to inject funds or even likes the shiny seats would be something.

Now, if a new owner came onboard it has to be successful. Wrack and Ruin had the buffer of league 2 under them if it went wrong, anyone coming in now doesn’t. Do we the fans want to gamble when another charlatan could rock up and take us out of the league, or do we sit tight until we eventually go up and then sell? Obviously we have no say in this, but what’s to stop Rupp taking the first offer that meets his valuation, regardless of the intentions or merits of the new owner? A bit like Lawn and Rhodes did. They are the ones in my opinion who should be facing the wrath of the fans right now. A complete lack of due diligence has set us back years. They saw the money and ran for the hills, leaving us hamstrung (no pun intended) in league two with crap players, a dwindling fan base, lost us the most successful manager we had within a month of the takeover, and loyal staff members and a very decent CEO in Mason out the door.

As tough as things are I think we need to stick for now. A fans forum has been announced by the club for mid January with an actual audience. Something tells me we might see decent signings early in the window. Either that or they’re being very brave.
