He didn't sack him because he has no cahounes. He didn't want the fan backlash at the time just after Wembley. When he did sack him he went into hiding for weeks, 'pre-arranged business meetings in Germany' and left Mason to front it up instead. He will now have missed a quarter of the season on Saturday....no balls....

I think we may well be struggling whoever was the Manager (sic Coach) as the dominant owner remains the same.

He is the ‘Head of Football’, he calls the shots!!

His words, ‘As an owner, CO and head of football, so to speak, I have another type of attitude to work to the manager. It is difficult for Stuart to understand. I’m head of football. “I will comment if we concede a goal because I know about football. You have to take me seriously’.

You'll be ridiculed for using "sound bites".

It was some "opportune moment"!! I think if you've been at a club for more than a full season and you lose 7 out of 9, you're going to have to either have a remarkable relationship with the Chairman, be at a club where the expectation for that season is low or had a previous season where the club punched tonnes above their. Probably 2 of the 3 to survive

There's no factual evidence, other than blind faith that he would have turned it around. He's never shown that ability to be able to do that with us, in any of his spells. When he first joined us in 2007, he spent the season improving a poor team and then had a great 2008/9. That was up to about mid-February, when the wheels fell off and we never recovered. Move onto summer 2016 and a more experienced manager makes an immediate positive impact and then around October the following year the tactical and mental cracks begin to surface (i.e. 3-0 loss to Fleetwood at home). Slowly, but surely the old 2009/10 failings creep in - leading to that disastrous 7 out of 9 defeats. He's gone to Scunthorpe and exactly the same thing is happening as occurred with us December / January. In fairness as he's just gone there, clearly it's harsh to make the comparison - but it's a valid point for those of us who don't believe he could have turned it around. Incidentally, I was always a McCall fan as a manager and was devastated when he went the first time and delighted when he rejoined us - but I now don't think he's up the standard needed

Because he sees he's only just joined and he can see, in Hopkin, someone who can turn it around. Maybe the Scunny chairman thinks the same about Stuart
