I’m still pretty much lost for words tbh, as I was for most of the drive back. We simply didn’t look one bit interested yet again, Smallwood snatches at every ball and loses it half the time with his wayward passes, Cook sulking and well off the boil, static defence, Gilliead looks like he’s ran out of energy, Chapman ineffective, and what makes it worse is Swindon - just like Salford - were as poor as us!

A very shit day for me personally, as the tickets were expensive, plus the £70 in fuel, extremely frustrating team display, and I reckon I’ve copped for a bastard bus lane ticket as I had no time to move over in that congested little SHIT HOLE

I get people are already pissed off with GA, his selection, his tactics. But I feel sorry for the poor bastard, even he knows he can’t get a tune out of this useless team. He has to be given more time. I’ve seen and heard comments suck as “this is the worst football I’ve ever seen” but fans were saying that under Hughes (only manager who’s got us remotely “good” btw), they said it under Adams, Boreyer, Trueman, Grayson, Hopkin etc etc etc. ITS THE fecking CEO, RECRUITMENT GUY AND OWNER that need to leave before any manager

 

That ranks amongst the most spineless gutless pitiful 45 minutes of football I think I've ever seen and that's after following this club for over 40 years. In fairness they never stood a chance with how the clueless Alexander lined them at up at kickoff. If we hadn't already sacked a manager this season I'd be happy for him to feck off cos starting with that back line is pretty much unforgivable.
45 minutes for some sort of redemption but I'll be honest I've had enough. I want change at this club and I don't mean the manager.

It was a nonsensical appointment. I've no idea whether GA is a good manager, and I'm not agitating for his sacking - because the context is so f****d. His philosophy is so, so different from Hughes, that it was always going to be a car crash unless his appointment was backed by a proper structural change and rebuild of the squad.

He's completely set up for failure, and its crucial that our focus go beyond analysis and critique of players or manager. Sparks and Rupp, that's where the debate needs to start and end. We're fundamentally broken.

 

GA! Please, for the love of God. Get your head out your backside and take Smallwood off set pieces. If he can’t that see, he should be sacked

We’ve seen some shite over the last few years but that was right up there.
Absolutely no redeeming features at all from minute one.

Didn't tune into the game at all, more pressing matters to attend to yesterday, but caught part of GA's post match interview.

Reminded me of Stuart McCall's last few interviews, when he sounded depressed and clueless as to what to do next.

The difference in GA's interviews since Christmas are tellingly stark. If you listen to his last post match interview with MK Dons, it's very similar.

The Rupp/Sparks effect has soon derailed GA's early positivity and confidence it would seem.

We are truly in an awful mess, and I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel I'm afraid.

I have zero enthusiasm for the rest of the season.

I can’t understand how GA has looked at recent weeks and decided that the best option is to stick with the same tactics/formation and broadly the same team. It’s no surprise that we’re struggling once again.

 

I don't understand it. He's still learning but Tomkinson is our most mobile defender. We scored on Tuesday because of his ability to carry the ball out of defence and pick a pass. So we drop him.

 

Swindon commentators saying Bradford don’t seem to have any structure or game plan at all.

 

And Smallwood for our Captain he's been dire.

 

Can we cancel Smallwood. He just has to go. No influence, no leadership, struggles with simple passes, game passes him by, awful long balls, and ABSOLUTELY SHITE at dead balls.

He does my head in at times but you can tell he is genuinely gutted about where we are as a club

 

Vadaine Oliver playing 73 minutes for a Stevenage team currently in the league one play off positions. The problems at this club go far far deeper than any of the doubters could ever imagine.
