Do we agree Kelly is getting better`?

 

If we can get Tomkinson in full time that will be a massive signing for us.
We really need to maintain the back 3 going into next season.

 

Not bothered about Chapman,we are probably not the right club for him,but I would want to keep Platt,there are not many,if any,stronger centre halves in league two,which is where I would imagine we will be again next season.

 

The way Tomkinson is progressing,I am not sure Norwich would want to sell,but he is not ready for the championship,so we might be able to get him on a season long loan.He will be away at the Olympics during the summer.

 

TBF to him, he had to play a lot of games as a number 10 under Hughes, deputising for Walker and he never looked suited to that role. When he he started to get a run of games on the wing he looked really good but then, as is our luck these days, got a bad injury just as he was really coming into form and match fitness.

 

I like Chapman but I think he's looked a bit slow and overweight since he came back this time

 

I don't think you'll see the club offer Chapman another contract.

 

It will depend on what was agreed in the contract.

 

We have options on everyone out of contract apart from Platt and Chapman so the club is in control of who leaves in June.

 

If they are options on the clubs side as suggested, then no. It's just basically as easy as adding on an existing year to the current contract. There has been instances in the past where a player has a say on the option and can opt against if they want to go, but I don't think there has been anything to suggest that's in play here.

Obviously, players might want to adjust their money after the options are triggered, but it would mean a new deal. Wrexham did that with a few this season, Mullin and I think it was Lee had options in the summer which were picked up, and then both signed new deals this season too on more money. Knowing our recruitment team, it wont be an extra years option we have on the contracts, it will be an extra 3!

 

I think it's time for Harry to leave. I know he had a bad injury but his assists record isn't great. I would think Kavanagh is probably the player who takes over his role from him.

Same but I wouldn’t be surprised if Platt gets offers from League 1 and moves on.

 

It'll be interesting to see where Payne plays. Since they thrashed us, he's been playing a little deeper in midfield. But it looks like they've had some fitness issues up front, and actually Kemp was moved from his 10 slot to the striker role and Payne moved back to the 10 role recently. I think Williamson said they are touch and go for a few fitness wise.

Yeh, I like him. He has a no nonsense approach. Admittedly I reckon this will cost us a few more fouls and possible penalties (think he gave away the one against Crewe?) But still, rather have someone not afraid to stick a boot or head in.

 

I just hope it isn't "Payne"-ful viewing tonight.
