Sad photos Bronco. That's where it all started for me, when I was five year old , going with my dad who was a die-hard Stan. Back in 1962, and I'm 65! today Unbelievable Jeff!

Happy Birthday mate, yes they were great times playing your local opposition and going to work Monday morning with bragging rights if your team had won.

Very sad photos, I originated in Great Horton, so saw a few games there in my youth, my uncle had a season ticket, so used to tag along with him from time to time, it was a lovely ground back in the day, and don't forget the cricket pitch behind the main stand, a great sporting complex.

When City were playing a long distance away I'd go to Park Avenue with a pal who supported them.
I remember players such as Jimmy Scoular, Ian Gibson, Jimmy Fryatt , Tommy Spratt and Kevin Hector.
The highlight of matches there was when they played the Czechoslovakia national team for the inauguration of their new floodlights.
