    Currently unemployed.

Would you have him back here in any capacity? DoF, coach, ambassador, head of youth etc etc

Would he come back? I don’t doubt he got a decent pay off from the Blades.

Wonder where he’ll end up next?

Club ambassador absolutely yes, anything else absolutely no. Unless GA wanted to expand his coaching staff and wanted a one of the lads type coach. Doubt he’d be up for either role though.

SM is a very good coach. As a manager not so good.
I'd love him to come back in some kind of role within the coaching set up. Not necessarily the first team.

Not currently. He's done his time, don't persecute him any more. The player I would most love to have back is Jamie Lawrence as fitness coach.

Totally agree. Wish him well but not at VP. In my humble opinion too many on here only look at the past too often, it rarely works.

I'd definitely have him in as DoF.

He eats, sleeps and breathes football and is a Bradford City man through and through.

Stuart has immense experience as both a player and a manager, which is exactly what you need from a Director.

That said, Graham Alexander has comparable experience as a player. Same number of caps (40), more games overall (believe it or not). Stuart is the more experience coach, but only by a few years, and Graham has managed only slightly fewer games.

I'd appoint Stuart as Director of Football as something the club requires, but not as something Graham Alexander necessarily requires. What I'd certainly like to see from someone like Stuart in a position like the DoF is to begin identifying a younger manager who can either work directly under Graham or follow on from him.

But the club couldn't give a toss about continuity or long-term planning, it still believes you can just appoint a manager and conjure a miraculous perfect storm every 20 years and no other hard work is needed.

The idea of training a prospective manager to take over eventually never works it is a waste of time and money,

Has it ever happened before? I can only really think of Kamara and Jewell as similar examples.

And the present hasn't often been great either!
